Babies at our wedding?

Hi - I’d really appreciate some advice from other brides. I am getting married in October and my twin sister had a baby in May with a guy she’d only been with for 3 months. My fiancé and I had already been engaged for 9months and had always said we didn’t want children at our wedding. When my niece came along we decided to compromise and have her there for the reception drinks and evening but not the formal parts such as during the meal, meaning the dad would have to look after her for the couple of hours during the wedding breakfast. The dad has refused to do this and now will not come at all with the baby meaning my sister will miss most of my wedding as will be at home with the baby in the morning and will leave after the meal. They say we are being unreasonable to not want babies at wedding breakfast but we feel we have made a reasonable compromise to ensure we have the day we always dreamed. It’s now massively damaging our relationship! Am I being unreasonable? Thanks

its you and your partners day, if its damaging your relation ship maybe consider a compromise? we reserved our venue a year ago and have had 4 new additions to the family since then so we will be having children at our wedding. somethings you just can't plan for.
