How to chose ceremony time

Hi any tips on what time to have the ceremony at? We aren’t doing a traditional wedding breakfast/sit down meal. We are having a church wedding then off to the local working men’s club for reception, so unsure whether to go straight into evening reception? But we have been offered two rooms at club to use as we have use of the longer during the day if we wish to have something for the wedding party and family first before evening guests arrive, if we do this it will be an afternoon tea spread. Just need advice on what would work best and what timings for both ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice x
