Wedding day timings

Hi all. I have a question about timings for the big day. We are having our big day all under one roof and our venue recommend having the ceremony at 2pm followed by reception drinks and photos to then sit down for the wedding breakfast at 4pm. But I'm worried this may be a little late and that our guests will be too full up to want food later in the evening (we're having a hog roast). But I'm also conscious that if we eat too early there will be a big lull afterwards and that we'll be hanging around waiting for our evening reception to start. What's everyone's thoughts on this and how are you guys working around it? Thanks.
