Has anyone got any suggestions for going to the loo in a big princess dress?...

Has anyone got any suggestions for going to the loo in a big princess dress? I'm wondering if the IKEA bag hack will work.

I straddled the loo rather than sat and had two friends hold my dress up for me. It’s not the most graceful way and you can’t have a shy bladder though x

This was my dress and I managed it with just bringing the train and veil forward around me and getting someone to hold it. Oh and using the disabled cubicle

I am worrying about this as well. I have asked some of my married friends for advice and they said this is what your bridesmaids are for, they can hold your dress for you when you need to pee. But my concern was more about what if you need a poo? I don’t think I’m that close to my bridesmaids to be honest. And while we’re at it what are people doing if they’re on their period as well? I’m a bit worried about that.

just sit the wrong way on the toilet ! That way your train/veil is behind you and not bunched up !

This was my dress (monarch length train and 8 layers!) so I didn't even bother with a bag or bridal buddy as no way was it fitting. One of my bridesmaids helped me and I went on the loo front ways, much easier

Go in the disabled toilets so you have more room...take a friend with you to hold the dress and sit on the toilet back to front 😊

It’s honestly not as hard as you think! My maid of honour helped me lift my dress up & went forward and sometimes just as normal. Really not hard 🙂

Sit on the toilet backwards. So you are facing the wall and let your dress hang down behind you.

I had a princess dress and use the disabled toilet alone with no issues at all.

Bridal store owner told me to sit on the toilet backwards to how you normally would. So, straddle it facing the cistern. It's less fabric to hold and your train isn't at the back of the toilet either. She also said to use the accessible toilet as there's more room

I did it two ways

First was grab the under skirt and get a friend to hold it all up on one side so you can sit

Second time, we had a bathroom at our venue that was bigger than most people ground floor so I literally unzipped my dress, stepped out of it, cooled down, had a wee and then put my dress back on lol
