Hey ladies! How many dresses did you try on before you found 'the one' or if you're still searching, how many have you tried on so far? X
Tried seven and the retried on 2 then i found the one
3 dresses tried on 2nd one twice and chose it
I tried on about 8 and chose my 2 favourites to try again. It was the first one I tried on I chose. Each time i didnt want to take it off and just felt amazing x x
I tried on about 10 then I found the one. I was randomly looking on eBay to see if they had any on there and they had my dress on there for £60, it came from Hong Kong. I tried it on when it arrived and the dress needed a little altering around the chest, so I took it to a bridal shop for an alteration which cost me £150 and I can say I have spent only £210 on my dress and saved myself around £4,790, I’m really happy with that and I can’t wait to set the date and wear the dress x
I tried on 4 that i 'thought' i liked then went with the 5th one that consultant recommended 😊
I think I tried upwards of 30, and then chose the first one I ever put on 😅
Tried on 8 dresses across 2 visits. The 'one' was the 6th I tried on. Try on as many as you need until you get that feeling! Even though I only tried on 4 dresses on my first visit I felt really deflated and that I wouldn't have that feeling... but I did! :)
I’d guess it was about 25-30! I went to 4 shops. But so glad I didn’t just settle for one and kept going. Cried when I found ‘the one’
I honestly think I tried on about 17 then I found the one I tried it on three times and nearly cried every time ! Xxx
I tried on roughly 30 ish in a few shops and the one I bought I tried on 3 times and purchased in the sale
I tried on about six and went back for the first one x
None I found mine on line for $111 which was made to measure and its absolutely stunning. I knew what I wanted, The colour i wanted and took the gamble. It is stunning so much better than my expectations
I went to 4 shops
- tried in 4 in the 1st
- 6 in the 2nd
- 8 ish in the 3rd
- 6 in the 4th
It was the first dress I tried on in the 3rd shop
It's the only dress I felt like a bride in and the only one I cried in
I only went to one shop and tried on about 6. I just knew it was the one and didn't want to look anymore. Also it was the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. I ended up with a princess dress with a monarch length train when originally I was convinced I wanted a mermaid!
I didn't try any on... I ordered mine from eBay!! For 60 quid On a total whim... And it's perfect!!!
The second dress I ever tried on. I did try others after but nothing felt right after, until 3 days before the wedding when I almost bought a new dress xx
When I first got engaged I went dress shopping and tried on 3 and thought the 3rd was the one! But we didn't get married for 3 years after that! I went to 2 shops the first I tried on 3 I liked 1 my mum liked and 1 my sister liked, I also thought the one my sister picked was the one but it was in gold and worried I wouldn't like it in white or ivory
So I went to a second shop again I picked 2 and my mum and sister picked 1 the second one I picked Ioved and I got the reaction out of my mum and sister that I hadn't with any other dress, it made me feel like a princess and I knew right then that was the one for me
I think it was my 6th dress but I knew before I’d even put it on
Mine was my 2nd dress on
It was my 6th dress I dried on.. totally opposite to what I wanted.. I wanted ivory with straps and button back.. then bought a gold/champagne colour which was strapless and corset back!! It was also the one that woman at the shop pulled out for me.. I was convinced it wouldn’t fit me as it was the size I actually am rather than a size bigger (which they advice you to go for) it even needed it taken it.. I knew it was the one because it was all I could think about! The lady as the shop told me to look at other shops around town, so I did. Every shop was closed.. it was literally fate that this was my dress.. bought it and never looked back x
5 dresses and brought my one.
I tried on 9 dresses before I bought my wedding dress. Mine is a plain satin silk straight dress with a lace top.
1! Saw it a few months before we set a date, remembered it and went back to try it on. So glad I was lucky enough not to fall for multiple different dresses!
I’ve tried on about 20 and still not found it! Wedding is 6 months away
ive tried on one and fell in love i then entered a competition and won my dress just have to go to glasgow and pick it so hopefully i will find one similar xx
I tried on 2 and they wasn’t serious dresses
I tried on 8. I went shopping for my bridesmaids dresses and whilst I was there they got me trying on dresses too. Tried 8 of 8 and knew it was the one I wanted :)
I tried on 3 found my dress. Tried on another 4 dresses
In 1st shop ...didn't go to anymore
I tried on 17 dresses and it was dress 15 that's 'the one'
Tried about 10 dresses until I found the one.
I tried on 5 dresses to get an idea of what would suit my figure then bought my dress online matching what I found out. I didn't have the whole crying this is the one but I did get a glow and a smile xx
I think i tried about 10, i tried different styles mainly to see what suited best, all i will say is, not every girl gets that magical moment where you just know its THE dress. Happy hunting ☺👍🏼
I tried 106. I have been married before and knew the feeling when it came to 'THE' dress but couldn't afford it. So this time i waited for that feeling again even though i was starting to lose the will to live. Finally found it in the town my future hubby is from...fate. also, i had it for £500 cheaper than the city shops....double fate xx
the first one i tried on was the one! went to a shop, spent an hour finding and trying on 4 dresses and bought the first one 😊
5 tried on 5th one I brought xx
I have so far tried on approx 15.
Bought the 3rd one I tried on! I had doubts before the wedding but most people I know had the same. Never regretted it on the day though, I was super happy! ️
I tried 5 and number 5 was 'the one'
Still looking......tried bout 20....
I went to Wed2B and tried on maybe 6/7 dresses of different styles. Ended up with one the consultant picked after I had said which bits of each dress I liked!
Fell in love in the first shop I visited 4th dress tried on
It was the 2nd one :)
3. Was the second one I tried
Tried 4, it was the second one - book and done
2 shops, about 15 dresses in all and it was around no 10 - it all depends on how open you are to trying different styles, shades, shapes etc on :)
It was the second dress I tried, but I still tried on a lot (maybe 30!) To be sure, personally I think it would have been nuts to just go for the second dress I tried, without checking others to be sure
I tried on 5 with an idea of what I wanted. The one I have is similar to what I wanted but I went in with an open mind. I brought the first one I tired on as knew it was the one xxxx
I literally tried like 70 dresses on and mine was the very last one!! Some find it easy some very hard x
I tried on about 15 across 3 shops - around 4-5 in the first shop, none in the second, the rest in the third. I think my dress was number 13, I tried a couple on after it and none were any competition. The last dress I tried on I loved too, and I would have been happy in it if I hadn’t tried on my dress - which was almost double my whole outfit budget even on sale and with added discount for a couple of missing buttons. I don’t regret my decision though, because I look amazing and it shows off my figure the way nothing else does
Tried on about 10 but bought the very first one I tried.
6 or 7, when I tried on the one I bought it knew it was the one x
I tried on my dress first .. loved it .. tried on another maybe 30 dresses and kept saying “if only it was a bit more like the first one” and I went back and got the first one ..
I tried on one of every kind of shape and style to rule out what I liked on me first because they look different on you than on a hanger .. and it made choosing my dress so much easier! X
About 20 xx
Loved my first tried on a couple more but you know when it feels right
Tried on 12 xx
Found a dress I liked on the shops website, went to try it one and it was the one. Though I did try on few others just to be sure.
The first one although I did try others just for fun x
3 and my first was the one ❤️
2.5 years to find mine x
3rd dress I tried on.. mum cried, nan cried, I grinned (a lot).. then it was bought! Xx
Around 20 in 3 different shops while they were all beautiful dresses, I didn't feel right in them. The very last dress I tried on, I cried knew it was the one & bought it x
I tried on about 12 in two different shops and amazingly number 13 was the lucky one
I tried on around 10, a few different styles, 2nd to last I didn’t want to take off. Very happy
I saw pictures of the one I wanted online but couldn’t find it.... saw a local one on eBay and whilst it was a beautiful dress I wasn’t sure it was right. I went to a shop and tried in about 6 and did fall in love with one but couldn’t justify the price tag. I went back and bought the eBay one as it was a bargain, then bought a second one for the evening to make more of a party frock from..... then my dream dress came up on Facebook selling page. It was also listed on eBay but she didn’t use the stock photos so it didn’t look the same. Anyway it came and it’s perfect. I sold the eBay one and have stopped looking.
Mine was the 1st dress picked by the assistant which I never would have tried and fell in love with. I still tried the two I thought I’d like but it didn’t make me change my mind
Tried on around 30 dresses. Liked the first and loved one around half way through, which is what I went with. I had a list of features I wanted it to have that I knew would flatter my shapr
14. I chose number 9.. the one that made me cold and gave me goose bumps. At first my mum wasnt sure but 5 dresses later i put it back on and then she loved it.
1 or 201 it doesnt matter when you know you know.. just try them all on if need be. Go tight go massive. Go different go vintage go satin go lace. Only then will you really know.
None I had mine made to my own style and design...
5 dresses in total but I knew by. The 3rd one. As soon it was on I felt phenomenal. Can't wait to get married and wearing it.
The one was the first dress I tried, tried on another 4 straight after that but not as 'wow' as the first dress, so that was/is the one..... you just know when you know it's the one, same as your husband to be!!!!!
I tried on 5 in total, all different styles, but it was the first one (my fave before putting it on) that I fell in love with😊
I've only tried one, bought second hand, and i love it, it's the one
I got mine made for £450 and was unique and what I wanted
Tryed on my first one then kept looking at others but my brain kept pulling me back to the first dress so got it in the end got it off eBay and i was shocked how much it was so it was a bargain worth the money the dress is lovely it only cost £40 good luck on your big day xx
5 dresses and I have the one!!
