So what's your wedding cake like guys? Are you going with the traditional tiered? Maybe cupcakes? Or a new trend such as a cheese tower?
I’m thinking of 3 tiers. Simple with some detail and flowers
4 tier as keeping top one for ourselves and simple. Each tier a different flavour
We had a hiking theme!
3 tiers all different flavours. Not a fan of the cheese and cupcake versions.
We are having bride and groom caterpillars 🤣 though we are getting married in Vegas so the reception back here is more of an informal one
We had a scrabble board, not at all traditional but very us x
Ours was a simple 3 tier all the same flavour too, strawberry and champagne 😍 it was perfect for us!
This was mine x 2 tiers was jam and butter cream , one was chocolate and the other lemon xx
I'm going for a geode look, not quite like the picture but similar. :)
4 tier farming theme as we are farmers lol and each tier was a different flavour.
This was my wedding cake x
We are having a tradition tiered one. Although ive seen a lot of cupcake ones and they look amazing! Only thing i will say about the cheese one is, if you want a soft cheese like brie have it on the top not the bottom else it will collapse and it depends on the heat on the day, if its a hot day the cheese will sweat. Best of luck x
I've gone for 3 tier took ages to make my mind up regards the theme in the end I went for butterfly's
Basic 3 tiers, sponge cake. Getting a fruit cake to cut up for our more traditional guests and having bride and groom penguin 🐧 cake toppers as they are personal to us x
This was ours
Mine has Victoria sponge
Lemon cake
Chocolate orange cake and caramel cake on the top 😋 I get married Friday 😬
I'm having a 2 tier naked cake and then 30 cupcakes to go with it 🙂
This is mine xx
We are going for 3 tier cake. Different flavours and top tier is lactose free for people with dairy issues. It's gorgeous x
I had this made for my husband as a surprise he is massive dragonball z fan x
Sweet baked cheesecake - white chocolate, milk chocolate and toffee & honeycomb 😃
We are having a tiered cake with different flavours! And the design is being hand painted on 😍. Some places will offer cake tasting too
Four tiers with different flavours. Hoping they will look like tree trunks with a camping theme
My mother died from cancer in 1997. So my theme was peach and pale blue, a mix of my mum's favourite colour and mine (mum loved peach). The ribbons matched my dress belt/sash and we used the decorations from my parents' cake from 1968. The cake toppers were based on robots that I'd made for our first valentines together. If you're wondering about the punk patch on my dress, I was ironing my dress the night before and the iron slipped off the cotton sheet I was using to protect the lace! After lots of tears, my hubby said: "Just cover it up with one of my punk patches" and it worked really well and made it a truly unique dress! 🧡
Ours for our medieval/game of thrones wedding. All chocolate sponge and designed by my cake maker, myself and my husband
This was mine was perfect for us my theme was teal and fuschia butterflies but I wanted our cats incorporated into the cake as they are a big part of us x we had carrot cake bottom, chocolate middle and vanilla sponge on top x
3 tiers, designed by me and my fiance. I make celebration cakes as a hobby, so we are spending more than the average couple to get something with a wow factor and unique. In fact, more people know what my dress looks like than what the cake will look like!!
3 tire naked cake in lemon with raspberry jam and mountains of fruit amd flowers
We had 2 cakes one made by a guest which had 2 sides to it and a pork pie cake
I'm having a giant cupcake and little cupcakes for the guests
Have whatever u like. We had Victoria sponge, chocolate, lemon and carrot cake which I made myself!! 🥂
We’re having a 4 tier cake, 3 tiers are ‘fake cakes’ and the top tier will be 2 flavours. We’re keeping the cake for ourselves and giving each guest a cupcake as a wedding flavour x
Gothic wedding. Syringes were equestrian filled with jam to make a "bleeding brain"
This was mine our take on a traditional tiered cake!
We’re making our own. Have been experimenting with different sponges m. A very tasty decision 🤪
This was mine... carrot cake, lemon drizzle and chocolate fudge on top. 😁 Theme was burgundy with roses.....
This was ours.....soooo yummy and refreshing
We’re having something like this made for us. I get married Easter weekend xx
Can’t beat caterpillar cakes!
I didn’t want to spend a fortune so I found a great cake artist who will make us 90 cake pops out of white chocolate and raspberry and they will be made to look like real roses. They will all be put in vases for each table and for the top table we are having a small cutting cake made from red velvet (h2bs fav) it should look like the cake is rising out of the flowers as it’s going to be done on mirrors and crystal. Cos a lot less than a cake which won’t be eaten!
This was ours top teir was bubblegum for the kids middle was chocolate orange and the bottom was jam and butter cream vanilla
Both 😂 We are having a 5 tier cheese cake and using it for the evening food with other things, neither of us are cake fans but love cheese! But my Aunty makes cakes so as a wedding gift she is making a 2 tier for us for photos, no idea what it will look like tho as I’ve told her to surprise us! X
I'm having a 4 tier each tier different flavour with a thistle theme.
We had a traditional 3 tier fruit cake. My mum made the cake and my mother in law decorated it and made the penguin and bear topper for it too.

This was our black and red themed cake with cupcakes all with red velvet cake
My mum made mine
I made mine! 🙈 we had fruit cake, lemon drizzle, red velvet, chocolate and a gluten free orange polenta cake. I fancied something a bit more modern. Hated it while I was making it but I think the flowers brought it together.
We had a cheese tower topped with Jack and sally skellington. We don't eat cake so went with cheese and used it for the food at the evening reception .... and for cheese sauce etc at home for weeks afterwards as there was so much left xx
This was ours
Krispy Kreme with a sponge top
Ours had two sides, we had chocolate sponge on one tier, carrot cake on another and vanilla sponge with salted caramel buttercream on another
This was mine..
My other half wants a millennium falcon cake but I really doubt that'll happen without spending hundreds! Need to figure out a cheaper alternative!
I'm having a 2 tier cake with doughnuts underneath!!
We had a simple 3 tier vanilla with jam and buttercream one of my mums contributions to our big day
My sister in law made ours, naked cake lemon and elderflower with lemon curd and elderflower buttercream inbetween the layers .. we also had about 50 vanilla cupcakes but they didn’t get touched and we had a whole layer left of cake!
4 tiers- bottom and 2nd from top are vanilla sponge, 3rd from top and 1st are red velvet. Having a WWE themed square cake that will have a wrestling ring and a wrestling bride and groom (fiance loves old school WWE)
I'm gluten free so opted for a 3 tiered cheesecake - New York on the bottom, middle layer baileys and top layer chocolate swirl. Decorated with baby's breath
Didn't have one - I found it an unnecessary tradition so we used the money instead to do a competition and gave away a £180 weekend away in Europe to a guest that gave the most inventive RSVP - we had several video replies, people even bungie jumped - it was epic and far better than the cost of a cake as it involved and engaged the guests and made them a real part of our day! We played the top 5 best RSVPs in the evening reception on an overhead in the space it takes to cut a cake. Game changer!
Not the best photo but this was ours complete with Connie an Colin caterpillar cakes turned in to bride an groom (our 2 daughters choose them) something different people thought it was a prop for the photo booth
I'm having 3 tiers with these flowers vintage colours. And a 5 tier cheese stack. In Tesco for 30 quid!
We went for a traditional 3 tier (the 4th top tier was fake) our bottom layer was Ferrero rocher, middle was raspberry ruffle and top was Terry's chocolate orange. We still have our top tier as our venue kept it for us after cutting the bottom 2 layers xx
We went for a traditional looking cake.
This is our wedding cake but itll say “BAZINGA” with a bride and groom coming out of it. Will have that in chocolate sponge with 60 vanilla cupcakes underneath xxx
This was ours .. different flavours on each tier x
We had cupcakes and a top tier just for us
Tier cake, red velvet though, i dont like fruit cake xxx
This was my wedding cake. Theme was white and silver butterflies and feathers. Bottom tier was traditional fruit cake, 2nd was vanilla sponge, 3rd was cherry bakewell and 4th was carrot cake for me to take home and keep all to myself
I had cheese
Mmmmmm cheese tower......🤔🤔 sorry what was the question?? 🤣
We had Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
This was ours. Went with our white/silver Christmas wedding. Designed by myself, with the odd nod of agreement from the Mr.
Three tiers of different flavours, vanilla, choc orange and lemon
Loved my cake
Cutting cake was from Pattiserie Valerie and the other tiers were brownie doughtnuts made by a local cake maker.
This was our cake, blue and pink birds "flying" on top, hidden creatures like rabbits and mice in the foliage and our dogs are sleeping at the bottom!

My fiance is French so we are having a croqenbouche with 4 different flavours
My very talented friend makes these:
My partner doesn't eat much cake so we are thinking of a jaffa cake cake.

This was ours 🥰
This was ours, we had chocolate, Victoria sponge & Battenburg fillings x
Our ten year old son chose ours- it was the first thing he asked for when we got engaged. I chose a flavour, my husband chose a flavour and our little boy chose a flavour.
We had personalised cupcakes as a favour/place setting. 😊
This was ours, my mother in law decorated it all by hand xxx
Our wedding cake was on my husbands list of jobs to be done. He picked a 4 tier World of Warcraft wedding cake, different flavour every tier, with 25 gold Whipped buttercream cupcakes and 25 navy Whipped buttercream cupcakes.
Absolutely delicious and looked amazing, included the wedding and his passion for gaming.
We then cut our wedding cake with Elven Blades. (the same blades used by Orlando Bloom in Lord Of The Rings)
Three tiers, blueberry, lemon and chocolate. Semi naked cake. Sugar flowers as well as real flowers. With bride deer, hedgehog groom and pet pig figurines made by my brother
Traditional 3 teir cake for me :)
My cake came out the completely wrong colour and it was ice cream inside as well as a full cream cake. Best €80 I ever spent thought. The moment I got a photo of it sent to me saying, your cakes arrived... it’s pink. I just laughed! My beautiful friends decorated it though 😆
I bought my tiers from Marks and Spencers and my florest decorated them with fresh flowers. All of the flavours were beautiful x
We had a half and half cake
This is mine. I wanted top to be fruit so I could keep it. But it’s fake as it would have been too heavy. So my nice cake lady made me a spare top tier I wrapped up and put in the freezer. So many compliments about my cake it was gorgeous and perfect for us
Still planning but this is what we would like 🤩
We had a traditional cake. Fruit cake, sponge and chocolate.
We had a personalised cake topper made which now takes pride of place on the shelf at home. x
Were having a traditional wedding cake to cut, but on the buffet table we’re having cheese tower on one end...and a pork pie cake the other end..I couldn’t decide so thought stuff it..lol.x
This is my cake it has the big layer of fruit next is chocolate next is sponge then lemon and then carrot. It serves 150 people and is quite plain. I am going to add sunflowers around it and maybe a few leaves as my theme is autumnal
And this is my cake topper from wish
We are having 3 tiers but keeping top tier for us, doing 3 different flavours with no fruit cake as none of us like it. X
