Hey there! We have about 20 kids between the ages on 1 and 13 coming to our wedding and we know they are probably goig to bored during the speeches. What have you all planned for the kids on you day?
We are giving activities packs as their table favour so they can colour and do puzzles
I know someone that does wedding crèche!
For our wedding we got activity packs for the children that were there for meals x but we didn’t mind if noisy too much x
We hired a childminder to take the kids during the speeches. They played party games and had a great time. We also had activity packs on the tables and bubbles to keep them entertained between courses at dinner
Activity packs and small (age related) Lego kits x
We thinking of doing a children’s table.. no adults.. but the parents all on the tables closest, so our mums and other family can relax and listen to the speeches and not feel like they are surrounded by children or having to look after other people’s children, also a magician for the table and their own kids champagne and stuff. My partner loves the idea. We’ve had loads of ideas and know we aren’t always going to please people lol
We did activity packs to suit each individual. Once the music starts on the evening, they'll entertain themselves pretty much..
We're having an activity zone, where they can play and stuff and not be bored by the wedding events. (They don't have to stay there, obviously).
I made a children's table with colouring pads etc for them to play with and put sweets on their table
I’m a children’s entertainer and often work at weddings taking the children out during the speeches for magic and balloon modelling and even offer service of sitting at kids table during dinner to keep them entertained and seated so parents can enjoy the meal. You may have someone in your area that offers this
I have done activity packs with bubbles and then hiring a bouncy castle
We have activity packs for the younger ones and the older children will have a tamagotchi virtual pet each.
We have done bags to keep happy. As their wedding favours age appropriate.
I’ve got little activity packs and we are doing a kids table too. Xx
Glow sticks for the evening, my venue had huge grounds and stuff and the kids were at a age they could be trusted with them, honestly the best £30 I spent! Even the adults loved them
Gaming 4 weddings is one of the things we are having planned xx great for kids and adults xx
I made up boxes depending on their age with puzzle books crayons etc stuff from pound shop
Lego! Our wedding favours will be lego figures with little packs of lego/duplo for the kids x
Can anyone recommend where they got their Lego from
Activity packs as favours xx
I make and sell activity packs suitable for all ages. Happy to see if I can help x
bouncy castle! not judt for the kids though hahaha i want one at my wedding not just cause we have alot of kids in our family and friends (over 20) but because i love bouncy castles and want some wedding pictures kn it if i can bounce
We have a bouncy castle, garden games outdoors and indoors we have the ride on ponies and some indoor games for inside. xx
Our daughter was 1 when we got married, she was still eating when the speeches started and then once she'd finished I think my dad took her out of her highchair, she had a cuddle and then was just crawling around the floor - as she was during the ceremony!
We went to a wedding in November, she'd just turned 3, the bride and groom had got her a colouring book to do and she had some stickers but I've got to be honest she spent most of the speeches under the table watching something on Netflix on my phone (with the volume very low of course! ) we'd taken some books and toys for her too though xx
I made a bag each for the kids with things in them to entertain them like books and colouring in , toys for any babies and bubbles and bib for any babies , and some sweeties (I know they are about to get dinner but speeches can go on) x
We gave them all goodie bags filled with puzzles, snacks, colouring/activity books, pens, pencils, mini toys. And also had a games corner with the giant connect 4, nought and crosses, dominoes etc. Kept them all entertained.
Hire a kids entertainer and a separate room 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Craft corner and a bouncy castle!
It's nice to hear someone embrace the idea of family at their wedding. I don't have children myself but I have family attending my wedding with small children because it is a family occasion. I get sick of hearing people worrying about babies interrupting their big day. Well done you. Hope you have an amazing day. X
I'm making my own activity packs (I work with kids so know all the good sites!) Plus adding a few other goodies to their bags. We're also having giant games outside (connect 4, jenga, etc) for both kids and big kids!
we're not doing lots of speeches...just my dad...hate sitting around doing nothing! lol
I had personalised boxes made with puzzles, colouring, pencils, & sweets to keep them occupied. Also doubled up as good favours for the kids xx
Boxes with age appropriate games/colouring/activities we also have outdoor games and a lego table x
I had sweets and an activity box. I got a cardboard wigwam off amazon for the kids to colour in. I found them all in it at one point and all I could see was this wigwam swaying from side to side. Really funny. During the speeches you could do I spy with them. I had this on the tables and props for them to mess around with. Don’t know who had more fun...the kids or the adults .
I did a jar of Lego per child already at the table setting .....went down a treat
F
We had 30 kids at ours colouring books and crayons, bouncy castle, bubbles, glow sticks a football pitch and a magic mirror which was their favourite xx
We got a creche in from midday to 10pm. Best decision we made. The kids are still talking about it 8 weeks later and the parents loved the freedom they had to enjoy the wedding but see their children when they wanted. The kids joined us for fun stuff but did their own things through boring adult stuff like ceremony, dinner and speeches. Many of them didn't want to leave the creche they had such a good time. Definitely worth the money.

Hi there, we are here for those moments - either by creating bespoke activity packs and boxes for the little ones to enjoy, or by creating and supervising an incredible playroom. We can even create a mini wedding breakfast for them to enjoy in there own children’s room while the grown ups relax x

We aren’t having speeches because they bore me too 😂 I don’t think it would look good if the bride was in with the children’s entertainment 😂 x
We've planned an activity table with activity bags pic a mixes little puzzles all purchased from amazon
We're having face painting and an ice cream machine
We've booked a venue with adjourning rooms, one set up child friendly with a soft play hire, their own buffet table and meal boxes for the under5s so parents can relax and sort themselves out. No formal meal or speaches x
The Wedding Crècherz
I have got a bouncy castle being put up for a couple hours x
My aunty did activity bags for 35 children that were at my wedding. The children loved them, they were outside on the terrace playing with their bubbles and balloons xjx
I made up little boxes for each child with age related items
Including colouring books, pencils, inflatable props, foam aeroplanes, sweets, bubbles etc
I’ve put together activity packs with a puzzle/colouring book, colouring pencils and a wedding speech bingo card plus a couple of other little bits.
activity bags, plus we have giant jenga and giant connect 4 x
We hired a bouncy castle, sumo suits and space hopper course for during the day, then at the sit down part they each had 'goody bags' as their favours. Inside were things like fidget spinners, colouring book and swap top pencils, bubbles etc. We put all sorts in (individually age appropriate) and none of the kids had difficulty staying to the table quietly.
Bouncy castle, we had one and it was such a hit, kept them entertained all evening! Alot of my friends had loads of sweets but I didn't fancy a tonne of children hyped on sugar and then there's the tooth rot! Lol. Bouncy castle was such a great thing to have x
We had a craft table, you can buy craft box supplies in bulk on ebay
I made personalised gift bags and got colouring packs off ebay very very cheap
A wedding I went to recently had a nanny there and rooms full of toys to entertain the kids. I thought that was a great idea. We are also considering a bouncy castle x
We have done gift bags for the kids, they have a colouring book, bubbles, and sweets. Each bag cost around £2.00.
We have activity packs for them
What we will be allowing is colouring for younger one and iPad ,mobile games on silent , to keep them entertained . However we are keeping are speeches to half an hour .
Where’s wally books for the 4 and up kids! We only have a few babies/ toddlers and their parents are capable!
I ordered activity boxes for the kids at ours .. colouring in, puzzles, bubbles, that kind of thing as they were only 4-5 years old .. that said .. a 13 year old should be fine when it comes to speeches x
Sandra Fulton
We had activity packs & then a children’s entertainer 5-7pm in a separate (adjoining) room
We had a bouncy castle outside, a huge box of toys games playdough crayons etc and a magician for the 40 kids x
I plan on doing treat bags with puzzles and colouring ect for mine
