My wedding dress has an illusion neckline which I love (same as the picture below), however, when I tried it on once it arrived in my size the trim on the illusion was rubbing slightly but more annoyingly it was also making my neck go red which obviously isn’t ideal. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to stop this. I can’t really loose the illusion as I am really slim and have been told it will make to straps looser and less tight. Any help would be greatly appreciated ????
I had a high neckline, with the same issue. My seamstress added organza to the underside to stop it rubbing me :)
Try some anti chafing cream (body glide) It might help
Try spraying deodorant on the places that rub.
Little angels Liquid talc from Asda it’s brilliant for chaffing it should work
Can you add body tape so stick it onto you to stop it rubbing
Tape over the bit that's annoying you..... Some clear tape or body tape should do the trick
Talk to the seamstress in the shop where you bought it. It's probably a common issue with more than 1 possible fix
Dermaguard is really good at putting up a barrier.
This was an issue on say yes to the dress the other day and the seamstress changed the material of the illusion.
Damp sponge it, will remove any starching from it which is most likely cause of itching
