Wedding day surprise

Is anyone planning a surprise for the groom on the day? I feel I want to do something special but I can’t think what! ????

My husbands dad passed away a few years ago, so as a surprise I had a small charm with his dads picture made so that it would go on his flower, he knew nothing about it until the florist gave him his flower to wear on his uniform, it was the perfect surprise for him, you can see it on the picture next to his medals

My oh’s mum died when he was 4, so planning on having her picture around my bouquet so she’s still with us at the wedding. Also buying him a new sporran for his kilt that’s he’s wearing on the day

He doesn't need anything as he's getting the best thing already... You but if you really want to do something nice for him, don't be late for the ceremony. It's a long lonely wait up front

I got a lovely card and wrote in it for him. It was a way of steadying his nerves. Unfortunately he never read it so didn’t really need it. I think just seeing me in my dress etc. was enough.

Arranging for a snazzy car or fave bike to pick him up? Depends whether he's at venue you're getting ready at and of course what your budget is. x

I had an American trooper police car pick my hubby up on the day. He thought my dD was getting him in his Audi. He’s a big fan of American police shows (Brooklyn 99) and a police officer. It had his fave music playing and drinks

I purchased a box from Etsy saying 'Happy Wedding Day to My Gorgeous Groom' with our wedding day date and filled it with little goodies - a personalised glass with our wedding date; a few wee drams to calm his nerves; mints so he was fresh for our first kiss; socks so he didn't get cold feet; a box of matches as we're a perfect match; a photo of our first holiday together; tissues to dry his happy tears and so on. Just a few little things to show him I was thinking about him on the morning! https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/512453152/gorgeous-groom-box-grooms-box-grooms?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=gorgeous groom&ref=sr_gallery-1-4&organic_search_click=1

I got my husband a pair of socks and a travel clock (we got married in portugal) with the time of our wedding set although I was late 🙄 and he really wanted Dean Martin- That's Amore as our first dance but I told him I didnt like it and we chose another but I'd secretly arranged for it to be our dance and he loved it all :) was perfect :)

I was going to make a grooms survival kit. With a bunch useful stuff like novelty socks or boxers, sweets or mints, tissues, a mini bottle of his favourite tipple. Not sure what else but i'll think of something.

We're giving each other a card and present in the morning (obviously not in person). He already knows that I've got him a watch as I needed him to try it on to have some links taken out lol :).
