Im finding it really difficult choosing songs, we have finally chosen our first dance but we have been advised we need to choose a number of songs for the ceremony * 3 while guests arrive/sit own *3 while signing the register *My walking down the aisle song *Song to leave as the New Mr&Mrs Does anyone have any suggestions!xx
Feel free to drop me a message - I regularly play the piano for wedding ceremonies and deal with this a lot.
I’m more than happy to chat if you need!
What my partner and I are thinking of doing is any of the maybe songs for our first dance we will put towards our songs for the ceremony ☺️ we are also thinking of having our parents first dance songs included
We had the one by Kodaline, and I do by Sara Bareilles. I had classical music played before the ceremony as the guests were arriving, some of my personal favourites, but I don't think many people paid attention to that
I looked on utube for songs for weddings
We had one song for all of it and it only played in full twice

We had this i promise you ronan Keating for walking down the isle. A thousand yrs christine perri for signing and we go together from greace for leaving as mr n mrs xxxx
We had thousand years as walking dow the aisle song, we had she is love walking out as new Mr&Mrs really wanted artic monkeys dancing shoes but it got swears in lol! We had 2 ed sheeran songs and one james arthur song while signing register xx
If you dont wana do traditional dont do what you and ur hubby to be like xx
I had “I can’t help falling in love with you” Hayley Reinhart version - seriously made the room more emotional - it was silent in the room when that song came on! That’s probably the only part I don’t regret about my wedding xx
I looked for piano instrumental versions of songs that had significance to me and my partner. We ended up with a variety of songs from loads of genres, everything from Patience by GnR to Daydream Believer by the Monkees. And they all worked great together.
Ben Folds ‘The Luckiest’ is a truly beautiful song xxx
We've gone for only instrumental ... So we've got lots of strings and a kind of Celtic feel to it 😍
Have more than 3 songs for signing the register. We had 4 and they were repeated twice. We really needed 25 minutes of songs by the time the register was signed, the wedding certificates were created and the photos were taken.
So on becoming married my husband asked if he could choose the song we walked back out to. Probably the only time he wanted input so I agreed
He chose the bloody theme tune to Rocky!!!
We had our friend play the piano for us whilst guests arriving and signing so didn’t have to worry about songs with religious words in as didn’t have a church wedding. We got married in our local museum.
For walking down the aisle we had Beautiful in white by Shane Filan and for leaving we had From this moment by Shania Twain xx

Walking down the aisle song for me was beautiful in white by Matt Johnson (Shane filan also did a version but is a bit faster) my husband cried when I walked down and coming back up we had stevie wonder for once in my life. Other ones we had say a little prayer, it’s all about you, a Greek song that we love, wasn’t expecting that and over and over again...️
I walked in to moon river sung by Audrey Hepburn as it’s my favourite song. Tale as old as time sung by Ariana from my favourite Disney film and You’ll never walk alone as my husband is a Liverpool fan, for the register; and we walked out to somewhere over the rainbow sung by Judy garland which was both of my nans favourite songs
We had a pianist play at our wedding. I walked down to a thousand years and we walked out to the star wars theme! We had him play music from our fave movies while we signed registrar. No idea what was played before hand
we had on this day by david pomeraz to walk down isle to beautiful words all about promising
We had a string quartet playing thousand years before I came down the aisle and then they played canon in D as I walked down... I have no idea what they played when we left. Tbh I was a easy bride and said just play whatever. As they couldn’t play what I wanted. I didn’t pick anything apart from our first dance in the end. A quartet or band will know what’s good if you just want to leave it up to them.
My wedding:
Walking down aisle - paschabel canon in d
Signing register- when you say you love me by Josh groban
Walking out - theme tune to true romance
You don’t need to choose that many songs. Why would you need 3 songs while you’re signing a register?
Our 'happy ending' song was sigur ros Hoppipolla. We walked out to that.
Google or youtube love songs or i depends on your taste. My fiance is quite into rock music. He's chosen I'll Follow You by Shinedown, More Than Words by Extreme and Starlight by Slash feat. Myles Kennedy. I'm still considering my choices.
I walked down the aisle to an violin quartet version of thank you for loving me by bon Jovi, we had a violin instrumental of a million dreams as we signed the register and we walked out to the throne room theme from star wars on violins xx
John legend
We are having angel by Robbie Williams not so sure on the rest though :)
I have chose 4 songs walking down the isle 2
from this moment shania twain ft brian white
sign regestra is i swear all 4 one
walk out to hero by enrakie engalsias
1st dance ed Sheridan perfect
My husband and I had a string instrumental version of chasing cars. We found it on YouTube. There are loads of different songs done as instrumentals on there and they sound amazing. Might be worth a look xx
We have a piper
how long will I love you. Ellie Goulding (my walk in song), First day of my life, Bright eyes, A thousand years, Christina Perri, Sunshine on Leith, Proclaimers, (Registry signing), Such great heights, Iron & Wine (walk out song)
We had a string quartet version of journey don't stop believing when we left the ceremony, and classical versions of rock songs and things like the Jurassic park theme when people were coming in! I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of turning point x
Make sure whatever is playing the songs is in working order as I got to the entrance and my music didn't work. None of it after tens of hours choosing my music.
I've only got to decide on one for walking out but was thinking signed sealed delivered by Stevie wonder
We had the theme from Forest Gump titled the feather for when I walked down the aisle in church and had Signed Sealed Delivered for walking out as Mr and Mrs

My husband and I went a bit silly for ours... i walked down the aisle to a thousand years. There's a string quartet that cover popular songs, called the vitamin string quartet, their covers were quite nice an unique, so for signing register we had she f**king hates me by puddle of mudd and walked out to blink 182 what's my age again. Our whole day was us having fun. Our guests were listening to things like green day, good riddance (time of your life), the offspring hit that. They were beautifully arranged so the ones that knew the songs thought they were great and the ones that didn't thought they were beautiful arrangements
Leanne Hawkins
We left to The Wannadies - you and me. It’s uplifting ☺️ Xx
I still have the playlists on my phone
Just think of songs that hold meaning to you, however cheesy they may seem. At the end of the ceremony hubby and I walked out to highway to hell.......
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions!💕

I walked into This I Promise You it's a Ronan Keating song but we had a version by an Irish singer Donna Taggart. And then to walk out to I picked a random country song but the words just fit it's called Gotta Have You by Risa Binder. It's quite up beat and a different to the usual!
I walked down to Romeo & Juliette - Killers cover version, also played whilst signing the register
We walked back up to Chelsea Dagger - Fratellis
On a day like this -Elbow for meeting everyone after the ceremony
Xx
I had butterfly waltz by Brian Crain and Rita chepurchenko to walk down aisle to, we had 2 for signing register (as love is my witness by west life, thousand years by Christina Perri) we had Take That greatest day to walk out too. Was best day ever x
Our organist played Christmas songs (Rudolf the red nosed reindeer etc) before we arrived (we got married Dec 2017). Walked down to wedding march and out to...Can't remember. Signing of the register was amazing grace (personal due to late grandma being called grace)
We had a load of classical versions of songs for playing during the meal and initially for before the ceremony, until the organist asked if she could do the Christmas songs which I loved! The Piano Guys do some amazing versions of very popular songs xx
I'm not joking at this, my OH a huge Star wars fan and I've given him the walk out of the registry office music. It is cool https://youtu.be/BjDaPOWdx6s
