I'm getting married next March at Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon, but they are part of Costley Hotels and have a few venues around the country - they're amazing.

My husband and I had a beautiful wedding breakfast and evening reception at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange in July. Kirstie and Hannah who coordinated our event were amazing and I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I got married at Dundas Castle, the team are amazing there and could probably over throw a small country with their organisation. I didn't need to worry about a thing!! The view was stunning too!! And also very private.

Depends what kind of thing you're after. We got married at Barns Ness Lighthouse, although it's not a designated venue as such you can do it yourself. There are a few large houses available on airbnb etc that will let you do your own wedding. Also, try the National Trust for Scotland and Historic Scotland, they both have historic sites that are available for hire for a wedding.

We got married at Plane Castle, it's stunning, easy to get to for out of towners and the most reasonably priced venue we looked at! We had the place to ourselves for 3 days, it was amazing!

Thank you for all the suggestions! I suppose we don't know what we want. We thought traditional but now looking at quite laid back. I'm from West Scotland and he is from East Scotland so we're open to travel and really just looking for options at this point so I appreciate seeing names to look at!
