I started with guest list so you can see how many, then venue and colours. Worked for me, flowed quite nicely after. X

Do you know if you want a church, hotel, abroad wedding? Once you know that start looking at a load of them near you

Get a wedding organiser, everything is written down that you need to think about then!
Think about what your budget is likely to be and then start looking around venues (and they'll give you options of dates so think about the season you want to) and it'll all start falling into place

I'll start with what kind of wedding you want, a small one, a big one, abroad or in the UK and your budget. From there make a list of guests and start looking for church (if you want it) and venues. Hope this helps!

We've started with guest list to see what sort of venue we are looking for. Now we have done our list, we are contacting venues with numbers so we know how much it will cost and we can start saving x

Venue .... as soon as you book that, what you want will start to fall into place.

We see a few before we booked ours and we liked them but had a bit of an issue with each I.e bars being away from the main reception, outside space and doors being open (I have a toddler and was worried about taking my eyes off her), and then we just found the perfect place and after that everything was so simple. A lot of places take the headache out of everything x

Wish you well x

Budget, how much do you want to spend. Then decide it into categories, wedding venue, evening venue, cars, brides attire, grooms attire, gifts (for mothers and fathers etc. Favours are a waste of money) bridesmaids and grooms men, music, cake, catering, flowers, decorations photographer.

Once you know how much to spend on each thing you can start looking at your venues. Once they are booked and paid for look at photographer as that is the 2nd most important this as all your left with are memories and pictures and you don't want bad pictures. It's all down hill from there. Tick one or two things off a month and you will be there in no time.

Tip. Decorations - save and buy around October/November when all the shops are selling cheap before Christmas or buy and sale websites. Some beautiful things only used once for half the price in shops.
Dresses - January sales and sample sales or 2nd hand shops. These dresses are worn once. Nothing wrong just half the price x

Honeymoon. Our departure date has determined the date that we get married... then we could cross venues off if they didn’t have that date available.

Budget and guest list. Then you can find a venue to suit from there

Working out what is most important to you. For me and my partner we wanted a nice wedding without breaking the bank. We said if we can’t do it without getting in to debt we won’t do it. Lots of venues I didn’t even look at because they were out of our budget. Next it would be rough numbers so that can also rule out venues that are to small/big. Then venue xx

Definitely venue and photographer especially if you are wanting a Saturday as they fill up the quickest. Good luck planning and congratulations!

Ive been getting bits and pieces whilst we were saving up that didnt need getting at a designated time. Now we have saved we have booked the venue and registrar at the same time to make sure both are available on the same day. We have then almost booked the photographer. Once these are booked the rest can happen as and when.

I use a wedding planner app called Lady Marry. You pick the date you're getting married and it gives you a timeline of every single thing you need to do (you can add your own or remove what you don't want) and it tells you when to do it.

Work out what parts or your day is important to you both, for us it was an exclusive venue, place to stay overnight and the overall feel of the day. Then we went looking at venues and after that photographers as that is what will be left after the day is done. The rest is just falling into place. X

Decide on what kind of wedding you and h2b would like. Then work out a budget you can afford and do a guest list then you know the size of venue you require and then go look and venues xx

We wanted a really good wedding without breaking the bank so we compromised on the guest list and went for a small wedding but top notch we also booked the venue first and the rest followed .

We figured out budget first, number of guests we want for the day approximately, then searched for venues. Once venue is chosen I found everything else fell into place as I could vision my day ️ x

Write out a rough guest list then look into venues to cater to your numbers and budget... once you've got the venue sorted go to wedding fairs in that area to find out about suppliers etc I signed up to alot of newsletters and bought magazines but found them totally useless blogs like this are so much more help because it's real people who have had or are organising real weddings... there's heaps of good ideas and tips

Date.
Venue (if date isn’t an issue this first and check availability) / church
See what’s included in venue
Registrar (if not in church)

Then start a list of what’s important to you for the day.
Mine is roughly
Dress/suit
Music
Cake
Wedding party gifts
Flowers

Always start with the budget first, then guest list as you need to know who you are inviting to your wedding. Then look at Venues and suppliers next and also book the church or registrar early. Always to be safe to book early. :)
