Hey! What’s the latest time of day you can be legally married in the UK? Thanks
It depends on your local registrars I believe and their opening hours? Might be worth checking with your local office/ church xx
I don't think there is a limit. One of my friends married in a church at 8pm. It's more likely to be limited by registrar working hours or what the priest wants to do.
The latest time on offer for us was 4pm but not sure if you can request a later time with your registrar? It's really the registrars you would need to talk to as I don't believe there are any restrictions legally?!
We were told in our church that you can’t legally get married after 6 or 7 pm, that’s why our rehearsal was at after this time because we were saying our vows and it wouldn’t count legally
We’re having a twilight wedding and are getting married at 6. That was the latest they would do. Am getting married 02/08/20.
Mine was 3:30pm. I wanted a late wedding as I love night time and wanted fairy lights everywhere but that was the latest they could do for me. Thankfully it was November so it was kinda dusk.
If it's civil ceremony you can pay extra to get married later
I’d definitely ask your local parish as we were told the latest we could get married was 6pm... (we’re getting married at 4pm) xx
Our church said anytime between dawn and dusk, has to be daylight. Don’t know about civil tho x
I always thought it's still the rule from dusk till dawn?
Very few venues do permit night ceremonies now aswell tho xx
