Low budget Venue

Suggestions please for a low budget venue (even if it’s normally not a wedding venue is fine!) preferably with natural surroundings so either countryside or a garden/conservatory. We want somewhere where we can have an informal gathering (40/45ppl or less) with buffet or food stations style. Historic, Rustic , quirky settings (no barns or hotels with white chair covers!) Anywhere in UK.

What about a local boat club, they normally have lots of outside space due to them normally being on a lake in the countryside

Other option, find an area of countryside you like and ask the farmer if you can have a wedding picnic in their field, just needs gazebos, blankets, straw bales, that kind of think

Good luck

Rough close campsite in coventry, while you can’t have your official ceremony there you can have an informal gathering. You can hire out buildings or just a field and have a marquee etc

Elvey Farm! We’re getting married there in May and it’s a beautiful barn in Ashford with countryside all around it. Were only have 50 guests and they cater to smaller numbers than that too i believe. I’m not sure if their prices now since we booked over a year ago however, you can request a brochure 🙂

Kelham House near Newark is in a little village. It has a large outdoor space with some woods at the back of the lawn area.

The outside area here is gorgeous. It's a wonderful historic venue with beautiful period features. And you don't need 'white chair covers' https://www.botleighgrange.com/gallery Elaine Falconer

What about hiring a villa for a few days/a week? You and your hubby plus immediate family could stay there and share the cost plus you could invite your guests who could stay nearby at their own cost. You can make all the food yourselves on site but you can bring the supplies with you. There will be loads of places like that in UK. Happy wedding! Xxx

We used Duncton Village Hall in West Sussex. It is situated in the south downs and has the most amazing views and ample of outside space. A great blank canvas. X

You could find a barn that's new to doing weddings, as they generally won't have increased their prices in line with other venues. Alternatively, you could try local countryside pubs, or even a big cottage somewhere!
