We are having our wedding at a hotel, do we really need to do an order of service? It’s only a few readings and the vows etc, just wondering if everyone does this or not!!

We are also getting married in a hotel and are not bothering. There is so much to worry about we don't need the added stress. Do what you want anyway, it's your day :)

We are doing an order of the day instead of order of service.

We wasn’t going to do one but when we met with the registrar she said it was only about. £40 for 60 and there was a print that matched our theme so we had them.

We're not doing one, don't personally think it's necessary.

We have done cards just reading who is joining us down the isle and what relation they are to us but that’s it.

Just thought it would be a nice touch to add to the chairs while everyone is waiting. Xx

I’m planning to only because it gives the readings etc and who is reading them, also it can be a nice thing to keep from the day

We didn’t. I think it’s more of a church thing. It’s nice if you decide to do it but we just had a simple ceremony and felt it wasn’t needed x

I’m not bothering. Maybe will do a poster or blackboard or something.

I didn't even know this was a thing! :o I'm assuming the hotel will take care of this, as they are printing the place settings, table plan etc.

We never, it doesn't really call for one plus, people will spend more time looking at the sheets than at you guys x

We got married at a hotel and we didn’t bother with an order of service, as we just had the vows and one reading x

We had orders of the day as it then allowed people to know when things were happening such as getting fed!

We got married in a hotel & didn’t bother. We did have a black board near the door tho that had times for what was happening after the ceremony

We did and printed an order of the day on the other side so that people knew what time everything was happening xx

I wouldn't bother, just go with the flow and enjoy your day x

I think it's a personal choice but to me it seems an added expense for something which is likely to get left on the seat after the ceremony! Better putting the money elsewhere where your guests will appreciate it like in the food or drinks package! :-)
