How many wedding pictures?

Hello, I have to choose a photography package for my wedding. We only have a small wedding with it being abroad of around 35 guests. Can anyone offer any help with how many photo's I should be looking at getting? I have the option of 120 or 250. Did you also advise what 'style' photo's you want or let the photographer use his expertise? Thank you brides!

We are getting married in Lancashire and got a photographer for 300, this includes candid and formal shots of the ceremony, friends and family shots, shots of the reception lay out, a mock cutting of the cake shot, and some "romantic" shots of me and husband. They will be a mixture of black and white and colour. We're on a tight budget so small wedding of about 50 guests, the package we got was perfect for us.x

I didn't have to choose a number of photos, however I received 450 of just the ceremony and family pics.

I would research photographers and choose one whose style you like the look of the most. Whatever’s in their portfolio is a good representation of what you’ll get on the day... so if you’re not so keen on what’s on their portfolio I’d choose a different photographer.

We didn't choose number of photos. We had 2 photographers from prep to first dance and ended up with almost 900 pictures (the package we chose estimated 400 pictures)

Our photographer didn’t set a limit, basically had two photographers to catch everything on the day and then had all of the pictures afterwards, I think after getting the not so goods out we had just under 600, this did include all of the prep all the way until after first dance

I’d be a bit wary if you have to choose a number of photos ?! The photographer is basically putting a limit of your memories sounds weird to me xx

My photographer too lol over 1000 photos for my wedding. Obviously not all were useable and lots needed editing. We had a usb with all ours on and we could print what we wanted. putting a number on how many pics to take to me seems crazy? What happens if they’re over the quota and the perfect shot is lost? Personally I’d be looking for a new photographer x.

I got married abroad last year. We had a photographer and we had the chose of having 25 or 50 photos and then if we wanted any more we would have to pay extra about 15cent a photo (nothing much!) There were 18 of us in total and the photos which our photographer got were amazing and we brought extra. From our wedding party who also got very snap happy I now have over 500 photos from our day. Hope this helps

Our photographer took 7500 (he had a trainee with him) photos which were edited down to about 800 which we got on a usb most photographers charge per hour rather than on a photo basis x
