Budgeting for wedding
I'd start buying things as you go along to spread the cost
Speak to vendors to see what their policy’s are for low cost deposits & payment plans!
I am a photographer based in bucks. We always try to accommodate to our customers budget as much as we can!
I don’t know, but I’ve heard you suggest dieting will get you a husband?
Don’t bother with mua do your own I did and never missed it and videographer never missed that either
Dispense with all the superfluous shit and just have a free bar. A free bar will make you a heroine/hero.
My other half has made a spread sheet with literally all the costs of everything so far, even the things that have been a few quid as it all adds up and that way we’ve been able to track exactly what we’ve paid out etc
Haggle with everyone! Get married in "non wedding season" months, venues are normally cheaper. Get married on a Sunday if they have cheaper rates then etc. Use artificial flowers instead of real. Good luck!
I save lots by doing things myself. I was quoted 500 for centre pieces and done the same thing myself for about 100. Same with invites. Look on Facebook for second hand stuff x
Have a budget then after the continual list of things to pay for realise its only money and your only getting married once . We got to the point of not even caring anymore because if we actually acknowledged the end costs we probably be sick .
Set your budget for every single thing, stick to it and keep track of it! Unlike myself who had a mental breakdown when I realised how much money we will need when all the payments are due now we have just shrugged it off and whatever we have to pay will get paid as long as we have the day we want!
set a minimum and maximum budget then start shopping about if you starting buying early you can spread the cost x
We looked at the venue first, then looked at different prices on everything and averaged an affordable price for us. Also looked at a suitable time scale to save and buy things. X
Also look at things you can make/do yourself
#loseweightgainahusband...... still ignoring the feedback? You have been blocking people on Twitter. I expect you will delete this one too....
Make a list of all the things you would like in your wedding, then shop around so you get a feel of what things actually cost (I was surprised at how expensive everything could be!) then, Have a chat with your partner about things that are priorities for you both and things that you don’t really mind about, then set your budget and work within that! The budget planning tool on here really helped me put everything in perspective! Hope this helps xx
