Hi due to it being the only time available we’re having our ceremony at 12pm. Does anyone have any ideas of how to keep guests entertained between the ceremony and the meal which will be around 4. I know there’ll be a drinks reception and photos but I don’t want people to get bored. It’s an October wedding so not sure what the weather will be like.

Photo booths always go down a treat.

Food Remember the ceremony will take a bit of time, may start a little late...may take longer than you think. There are also group photos that take up a chunk of time We had canapés and drinks handed out and chucked a few lawn games out and everyone was suitably amused

We had lawn games and an old school games console. Think about some canapés or extra snackage so people don't get drunk too early!

I had traditional Morris dancing between the drinks reception and the meal. Was great fun and kept everyone entertained.

Canapés for certain will help stop the hangry. Also consider speeches before the meal.

We had an October wedding with a 12 o clock ceremony. We ate at 3 and had alpacas and donut wall 🙂

You’ll be surprised how quick it goes. We had the same times as that and we didn’t get to the venue til 2 once the ceremony and photos at the church were done. Then by the time group photos are done there’s a nice time for people to mingle and we had an ice cream tricycle and Garden games except it rained so people had to stay inside but still worked out fine and everyone was happy

Magician is always a good way to entertain guests.

You could also do speeches before dinner

We got married at 11.30 and ate st 2.30 and our venue and ceremony were at the same place which was a hotel with a spa so lots of the guests used the time to check in, freshen up and some even used the spa and swimming pool in between. It was a really relaxed day and the time gap allowed people to mingle and relax during the day which meant they had plenty of energy for the party afterwards xx

Ours is similar, ceremony at 2 then a wait for meal. To be honest most people will be chatting as none of the family have met, photos will also be taken etc. Our dogs are coming to so most likely every one will be distracted by them haha

How about board games? You could get big versions or shots versions for the grown ups.

Maybe some couple based quizzes or photos of your relationship floating around. Get people talking/reminiscing and maybe space for them to add ones for the day with a Polaroid? Then you have pictures of everyone while you were having pictures? xx
