I get married in April next year and am looking to have my hen night at the start of the February half term - being a teacher it seems the best time - my question is; when do i/my bridal party send out the invite, as it were, or start organising it? It's going to be about £60-£70 pp and local to most of us, but with Christmas and new year in between i'm wondering if more notice, i.e. now would make more sense.

Probably best to send out invites soon so people can book time off work and get money saved towards it

I've just been a bridesmaid organising my friends hen do. My advise is to give as much notice as possible!!! X

I'm getting married in May next year and my girls have already booked and organised my hen for April. I've also arranged several hens for my friends and you want as much notice as possible to get everything booked and funds from each girl takes forever, for house rentals you need like 6 months in advance a lot of the time due to availability.
Get on it now i'd say.

I'm getting married July next year. My hen do is may (early bank holiday) and was booked 3 months ago. The more notice the better, especially if you're going somewhere popular and at a peak time.

I’m also getting married in April and having my hen night February half term too as I’m also a teacher. My MOH booked/organised mine last month as she needed to book hotels etc. Others may need to book time off work too x

I am also a teacher getting married in April, hen Is end if February and my bridesmaid has already got deposits etc. As lots of others have said, best to give lots of notice if you can. Also with it being half term and also around Valentine's day, things can be harder to book sometimes. That's still 5 months away though so plenty if time yet!

I’m getting married in April and main hen (having weekend away with bridesmaid in Feb) is Sat in March. My bridesmaids have sent out ‘save the dates’ for hen in March x

Send it out now. It gives people time to save and keep the date booked. I gave my hens over a year to save.

There is a website called freedom... we have used it for the previous 2 hen parties... it has all sorts of events all over the country.... they do a payment scheme... mine is in march so its been set up now and if theres more than 10 going the bride is free!

As soon as you possibly can! People need enough time to save up, it’s not just the price of the night, it’s taxis, travel, new dress/shoes etc and with Christmas being right in the middle it makes it much harder for some people.

I would send it now x

Elizabeth Todd something to think about...unless youve been a busy bee and you're keeping it a surprise, in which case ignore :)

I'd be organising it now so people know before Christmas and can make arrangements straight after Christmas and New year
