Hi, I really want to hire a videographer for my wedding in June, only problem is we don't have enough in our budget to hire a professional one, I like the idea of hiring a student or someone starting out to build their portfolio, I would pay them or if they are willing to do it for free then that would be great however I don't know where to start looking for someone? Does anyone have any recommendations for videographers that would be willing to help me out? I'm getting married near Glasgow, thanks in advance

Possibly look at local colleges or universities, i no when i was at college in Newcastle it had an amazing photography department so if i was in that area id look on fb to see if they had an page n put a post out. Just make sure u ask to see some current work so u can see if u like there style

I would suggest contacting local university seeing if photo and video is a course they offer and trying to find the details of a lecturer and then asking them if they had any students willing? Hope you find someone!! Xx

Flash Photography - they are one of the cheapest ones I found. They have lots of their videos on their site and do offers. They keep mentioning black Friday offers x

I got my video done by a guy advertising on gum tree. He was starting out and wanted to build a portfolio. I only paid for the licence for the church and his travel cost. My video is like a BBC documentary. Absolutely perfect. My friend did the same for her photographer. Try looking there. X

I'm in the same boat. Luckily i saw a post on Facebook of a guy who visits old ruins etc and photographs them. He recently bought a drone and did some footage. I asked if he did weddings, he was thinking anout it. So i suggested i didn't mind being a practice. So for £80 I'm getting what i want. So glad i asked. After seeing his drone footage im quite confident.
