Anyone else thinking about making their own bouquet? I was thinking about getting a few different bouquets, doing some arranging myself and getting some white ribbon to hold them together. Flowers left over can go to the bridesmaid’s bouquet.

I made all my own flowers with a bit of help from friends and bridesmaids. I loved how they looked, it was cheaper and I felt like they had my own personal touch. Will find a few pics for you. X

I'm doing my own! Went to flower markets to get all the stuff. I'm really happy with my practice run!

I just thought that it would be a lot cheaper making my own than spending hundreds just because they are “wedding” flowers.

I made my own. I had a peach and blue theme. I used foam roses and gyp, tied up with florist wire and tape and then added a satin ribbon.

I made mine and my bridesmaid the night before my wedding, bought the flowers about 3 days before that so the buds could open a bit, I’m so glad I did x

I have made my own using fake flowers (I often get sneezy with real flowers- not what I want on our big day!) Same with the flowers for our table centrepieces - after the wedding I will use the flowers in our new home x

My mum did her own. They looked lovely and saved loads of money. Only down side she cut her finger while doing it. Bad enough to need a trip to the hospital. On the day it was all fine and no one really noticed but it was worrying at one point. I’d wear gloves lol. X

I’m doing mine, the bridesmaids and the buttonholes. I’ve used foam roses and artificial lavender and added some sparkly things and pearls

I made all my own, flowers from hobby craft, also made a few flowers from book pages. Cost £120 for my bouquet and 5 bridesmaids with enough left to make a smaller plain one to throw in the evening! Got so many compliments from them throughout the day! Much more fun too and so much cheaper!

You can get fantastic sets to make a bridal hand bouquet and smaller bridesmaids ones very cheaply, the just choose your flowers! All of mine are going to be home made (so is my cake as I can make it for under £40 for three tiers!) Then home for a BBQ we would rather spend the money on a honeymoon to remember than pay out a fortune on one day! Good luck ladies xx
