I'm really stuck about where to book our venue, we don't want to go to far...

The white hart, lydgate is absolutely beautiful, staff can’t do enough to help you. They have the huge oak room which would be perfect for evening but also a smaller dining room you could use for the meal. We got married there and I can’t recommend it enough x

Check your local council(s) website as some list all licensed venues in the area.
You can then work through them to find ones that fit your criteria :) xx

When is the wedding , could hire a marquee?

Hire a function room. We did at a golf club. Was a great venue with the grounds. Dunno where you are but I hired pike fold golf club near Whitefield in Bury. Cost 150 for room hire and the food really wasn't badly priced at all. Much better than hotels etc anyway

Never thought of trying out licenced list I'll check that and I'll check all venues mentioned thanks x
