We're thinking of making paper flowers in spray painted glass beer/tonic bottles...
The cost of a few beers, wallpaper samples and a bottle of spray paint
Ours were decorated jars, so decoration items were from places like the range and cheap craft shops, jars we collected over the year and got friends and family involved. We had beer bottles with fairy lights in also, so were beers my hubby drank that we washed out. The lights were about £1 each on eBay. Then we filled with flowers ourselves. Was £50 in flowers for 10 tables and that filled 3 jars each.
We collected glass jars and put fake flowers in them, water and shells with floating candles and a third with some scrabble letters on and left a quiz on the table to. Just put them on some mirrors in the middle of the table. You don't need to much as we didn't want anything that people had to look over or round to speak to someone across the table if that makes sense.
We got cocktail fish bowls from Poundland and are putting coloured sand and candles in them but you could easily fill with inexpensive gems or flowers (check Amazon or eBay for those)
