I think I already know the answer to this but wanted to check! Me and my h2b are thinking of asking our Mums to be our witnesses. Is this ok? We figured that it would be a nice gesture since they don't really have a role within the day and everyone else does! :)

We did the same, well, we had my mum and my husband’s step-mum. It’s so nice for them to have a formal role ️

This is what we did. It was lovely and made them feel really included. As my mum says she want through the pain of labour and and didn’t get a proper role during the wedding so it was nice to include them xxx

That’s a wonderful idea! A person’s witness can’t be related to them (in case you weren’t aware), so his mum will need to witness your signature and your mum will need to witness his. It’s a nice way to join the families right at the start!
