I'm the same. Lost my dad 5yrs ago and my mum earlier this year. I only have my bro and some close cousins so looking at a ceremony meal and drinks for 50 ppl max. Not doin a full nite reception. Just a late afternoon wedding dinner and drinks with those closest to us both. It's abt marrying the person u love the way u want it xx

we are having a very small group, 13 including us. It meant we could afford a much nicer venue, meal, and dress etc and is perfect for us. its allowing us to do a murder mystery in the evening too !

I only wanted a small wedding so I searched online for a small intimate venue and only having 34 guests. You just need to have a minimum of 2 guests (to act as witnesses) x

We’re 7 people including us, it’s your day, plan the day YOU want, not what you think will please others or you “should” do

Our wedding was 11 people close freinds&family just perfect at Anvil Hall Gretna Green wouldn’t change it ever x

Why not nip abroad and make it into a holiday as well to change your focus.x

Yes our Wedding will be 30 people incl us is at local register office and then onto a small venue (afternoon and into night). Can’t wait lol

My wedding is in October and my daughter is home from Oz for one week so i am arranging our wedding now and there are going to be 5 of us, as my parents have both passed and one sis lives in oz and the other we are not close his side is huge and it scares me to invite them all
I want it this way and it will mean the world to us just to have his mum and my daughter and her partner

I’m really sorry! Yes a small wedding is possible, we are having 50 guest. You could always have a seat dediactied to your dad on the day with a picture of him, have a look on Pinterest they are a nice little reminder that your dads still watching over you on your day.
