I would suggest trying dresses on in both materials as you might prefer the feel and look of one material to the other. When I tried dresses on I found the satin ones heavier than lace, tulle and organza style ones and didn’t suit me as I’m quite petite. You might find satin looks fantastic on you!

Go with what suits you. I loved lace gowns until I tried one on and it just didn't suit me at all. Thought I'd like the chiffon, floaty, flowing gowns too... but they didn't suit me either. I tried on a lightweight satin fitted gown with beaded bust and small diamanté' bursts all down the bodice, skirt and train... and fell in love. It suited me and I had so many lovely comments from my guests. It's all about finding what makes you feel special. Good luck xx

Just try diferent ones on cos i ended up with the exact opposite of wot i thought i wanted. Its best to go with an open mind as the store assistant will have an idea of wot will suit u when they meet you

You have other options.
I had an embroidered dress which was heavily beaded. It was sparkly! Was something a little different to your lace.

Try on different material, styles, lengths, colours. It's a great day trying on dresses and you want to make sure yuy e got it 100% right.
My dress was chosen by the bridal shop owner, I would never of picked it out but as soon as it was on I balled my eyes out and knew there and then it was THE dress.
