I’m getting married at beginning of June next year, I’ll probably send mine around February and RSVP for April.
However we did send save the date cards this month as well x

You can send save the dates now and invitations can then go out March time

Don’t bother with save the dates. Waste of money really. Just send your invites out nice and early.

Got married 27/5/18. Didn't do save the date stuff as only booked a year in advance. Sent invites out at beginning of January and requested RSVP's to be back before end of March for venue and catering.

As early as possible with reminders closer to the date. I'm getting married next month, I sent out my save the dates a year ago and invitations in January, with an RSVP deadline of the end of June. Most people didn't respond until mid July, after a lotte of badgering, and a lot said they couldn't come as they didn't have enough notice to get time off work and book somewhere to stay.
