we used debenhams. Chances are you won't use it but I wouldn't have gone without it.

Never used it but it's good to have as I know someone whose wedding venue flooded the month before so it was helpful with finding a new venue etc. I used Debenhams.

We have t with debenhams, was only £40 and covers everything, just in case, especially as we were booking things 24 months in advance xx

We did. It took so much worry away. Luckily we didn't need it, but I know people that have, for various reasons. We did ours through Debenhams.

Event-insurance.co.uk
Our contract says we need £5m public liability insurance so this one was the cheapest.

Would you travel without insurance? Probably (hopefully!) not! For the sake of £40/£60 to cover the cost of your entire wedding. It’s absolutely worth it.

We have gone with Debenhams. Hopefully we won't need it, but I couldn't justify if anything was to happen potentially loosing all the thousands we have paid for the sake of £60! It's a small price to pay for a huge peace of mind x

Our venue insisted that we have insurance. Think we paid £50. They do different levels of cover so price could go either way depending which level you chose.

I’ve been thinking about it and after seeing this comment decided to just do it. Saves worrying for the next year, I have it now for the sake of £60. X

Insurance is an unnecessary expense - until you need it. £60 is cheap if it saves you thousands

Didn’t get it but I did use my credit card for the larger costs, venue etc. Plus always vetted suppliers throughly x

I’m looking at wedding Insurance now.....we are getting married abroad then having a wedding reception back here - does anyone know If I need two separate polices or is there somewhere that do them combined? Thanks 🤵

Yes yes yes! Would highly recommend it. I worked in the wedding industry for years as a wedding coordinator and always asked my brides to take it out and unfortunately saw many cancel who hadn't taken my advice and had to cancel. People think you are suggesting they will split up and have to cancel but I have seen couples cancel due to redundancy, death of a close family member, severe illness and other reasons. Or would cost them thousands of pounds. It doesn't just cover you needing to cancel, if you wedding flowers were wrecked in transit, your wedding dress maker goes bust etc. Definitely worth it and doesn't cost much!
