Hi. I’ve got a few children coming to our wedding and wanted to provide something to keep them entertained during the wedding breakfast / speeches. For the younger ones, I was going to get colouring sets. But I’m stuck on what to get the older ones. I don’t want them to have the heads stuck on their iPads etc. I initially thought of getting the disposable cameras and doing the I spy game but the cameras are more expensive than I thought, then I’d have to pay a lot to get them developed so I don’t want to be paying as much as that. Any help please? X
Puzzle books rather than colouring or magazines xx
I have the same problem we have some outdoor space so guna see it we can hire some fun inflatables xx

Groupon do large games like connect 4... sponge kind of material... x
We have a bouncy castle and 4 outdoor games that they can have a play with as well as the colouring book idea xx
I got some puzzle cubes from the works, they were £2 each. Travel games like connect 4 worked well too x
Bouncy castles always go down well.
Magic tricks for them to entertain the guests
I got a blank drawing book for my older nephew and some drawing pencils but also puzzle books and maybe small puzzle toys can be used to keep the kids entertained. Also you could give them a scavenger hunt to do in between courses so think about the room you are getting married in. The things you think guests might wear. So it might be hug the bride, find a lady wearing yellow, find pink shoes, find the red flower (a colour not in your centrepieces if floral and hide one in the room), count the windows, find a man with a blue tie, if you have several guests with the same name for example Stuart, maybe say how many men called Stuart are there and just let the guests know that the kids might come and ask them for their names to keep them entertained xx
If there sat together games like uno or snap or any travel games x
Rubix cubes
Treasure hunt! (A slightly controlled one though to keep the venue happy!)
I've seen a thing full of Lego bricks on Pinterest x
We gave everyone a Lego mini figure as their favour so we got the kids a small lego set each so they could build and play with that. Went down a treat. You can get them from between £7-£10 depending on the type you wanted.
I bought activity boxes for ours...Ebay...the ones I found had boxes for different age ranges so were ideal. For disposable cameras try confetti.co.uk. x
I made my own activity packs which were age appropriate and included wordsearches, mazes, colouring sheets etc. I also did disposable cameras with eye spy games and found Argos to be the cheapest to purchase from
Make sure u get crayons that will wash out of clothes.lego do small sets too
I bought my disposable cameras on eBay for about £5.99 and the i spy cards for about £0.99 each. They’re fabulous!
My mum bought digital cameras. Really cheap ones. But it meant all the photos the kids took went on the SD card then on the laptop
We have got a magician who will take all the children off for the speeches to do fun things with them. Then he will mingle with the guests after too x
We're having outdoor games (giant snakes & ladders etc) but hadn't really thought of anything else. Hopefully that'll be enough, along with the bbq and music (DJ)
For the older kids I put word searches and quizzes etc in. And gave them all a blank card, so they designed a guest a card. They all loved it
We went to B&M and wilkos and got the jewellery making sets, scratch art kits and 3d dinosaur kits. We also had a soft play area for the younger ones ... the kids were amazing all day and had so much fun which we were so grateful for... best £70 we spent (Cheeky Monkeys in Liverpool)
I did eye spy cards ( could prob be called something else tho) and instead of getting cameras I put questions on there that I knew my guests would be able to answer and the winner had to go to my mum and we had sweets for prizes, they had so much fun and it cost me £14.00
I did activity boxes for the kids. I got them all the same and all ages enjoyed. We had colouring/activity packs and ispy game with camera and the parents took home to sort out themselves. They also had a squishy toy as my kids loved them and I knew they were popular
A selection of board games? Set aside their own corner 🤔
I went to a wedding and they did this so he knew where to sit and hid a box of Lego under the table😍. Kept him entertained quietly for ages x
