Could anyone please share what they have put on their reception-only invites? Not sure how to word it, but want to make sure it is clear they are only invited to the evening so there are no embarassing encounters. Thank you!
Hi we bought evening invitations :)
Check out the website treeofhearts.co.uk which does evening invitations and take the wording from one of their invitations. That's what I did, although I changed it a bit it was good guidance.
We put 'you are invited to an evening reception to celebrate the marriage of ...'
Just have 'evening reception' and a start time :) xx
My all day ones read ceremony and evening starting at 3pm. My evening ones read evening 7pm
I put on that only parents and grandparents were invited to ceremony due to very limited spaces. Anybody that I invited to the ceremony other than stated I spoke to directly :-)
You can buy invitations that say evening reception on them. Don't put anything about the ceremony on them, and also, it'll be obvious that it's an evening only when you have a later start time (since most couples are usually married before 6pm)
You are invited to the evening reception at (insert venue name) at (insert time).
I just put wedding reception as the day is the ceremony. I think if u just put evening reception u will be fine and like someone else sed people will realise with the time xxx
We will be sending out separate invitations for Afternoon Tea.
We just put 'evening reception' and then the start time xxx
X and x invite you to celebrate thier marriage at an evening reception on the x at xpm somethinbg like that. We are only having an evening reception so had the same problem making sure people didnt feel offended!
We put 'Wedding Invitation' on the invitations for the ceremony at 1:30pm and 'Wedding Celebration' on the ones for the after party starting at 3:00pm through till midnight. All made easier as they are at two different venues.
