Hi all - I am having a tea length wedding dress for our wedding but my bridesmaids want a longer style dress for themselves. This is absolutely fine as I want them to feel comfortable and happy all day but my Mum thinks they should have shorter dresses as well? I quite like the idea of being different but am now second guessing myself so I just wondered if anyone else has had a tea length wedding dress with long bridesmaids dresses and how this looked? Thank you in advance!

Tea length for me and my bridesmaids. Long dresses don't look very 1950s. It's your wedding and they should wear what you flipping well want.

I have a shorter dress compared to my bridesmaids. At the end of the day its how you feel and what you want. Good Luck for your day x

I think you’ll look fabulous ! you will stand out and so you should it’s your wedding day. I’m sure people have tried to push their opinions on you already, and even though it’s your mums views just remember she can’t see what you see in your head. I’m sure on the day she will love your vision 😃

We had tea length dresses for my mum and dads wedding. It looked nice all of us having them 🙂.
But I actually think the bridesmaids having longer dresses would look great! Make sure you're happy with what they are wearing, but I agree about wanting them to feel comfortable 🙂. We're all having fully length dresses 🙂

I think it looks way better if the bride has a tea length dress that the bridesmaids wear full length!

My maid of honour is in tea length and all my other bridesmaids and myself in full length and it looks lovely gp with what you want it's your day people's opinions can be fab but also don't be swayed as it is your day and you won't want to regret not choosing what you wanted xxx

My bridesmaid is having a tea length dress as well as me.. to be honest it's up to you, it's not upto them.. if you like short then they wear short.. it's your day and you're paying.

I might be getting a tea length wedding dress myself and my mid of honour and bridesmaid are both having full length dresses. I personally like the contrast between the two types of dresses. But don't worry about it, as long ad you and your bridesmaids are comfortable thats all that matters, it will all look perfect either way 😊x
