We want to buy drinks for our evening guest without having an open bar. We have discussed with our venue and said about tokens. I’ve researched it and people have done this before. But when would you give them to your evening guests and how.
You could send them out with your evening invites... Maybe like a golden ticket
Use them as your favours x
We sent ours out with invites
We put ours on a tree in a organza bag along with their ice cream and fish and chip token that they would get from the vans when they arrived :) it worked really well each guest took a bag from the tree as they arrived! Hope you have a lovely day xx I should add it was a metal tree that sat on the table in the venue!
Someone I know had them on the table on their name tags but they had to be pointed out. Perhaps have someone let people know about them?
Our venue staff handed in the tokens when the guests arrived for the reception. It worked out very well. We also offered half a bottle of wine with the meal and champagne for the toast. There was plenty, in the end not everyone used their tokens and we got money back from the bar.
We’re doing this. You can buy 1 free drink token off eBay. Were putting one in our favours and BM and MOH are handing them out to evening guests.
You could put them in organza bags on table and then your husband can let everyone know what they are during speech x
I’m doing this. We have little favour boxes on the tables so I’m putting them in there. They have some really cute ones on Etsy ❤️
I’ve had this before as an evening guest, it came with my evening invitation x
We put a set amount behind the bar to start when the evening guests arrived, with no doubles/shots rules in place so people didn't take advantage too much!
your very generous! i couldn't afford that, but would be a lovely gesture!
Give them in their favours box at dinner :) or set the tokens out in the middle of their place setting. Xx
We wanted our guests to have drinks on us too, so we had beer, wine and soft drinks put out on a table so people can help themselves. We did this at the start of our evening reception. We preferred this idea to tokens.
Put it on their name tags that are on tables x
