Wedding Rings. Where are people getting and how much are people paying for wedding rings? Is anyone getting them made personally?

I had mine made. I collected up all my scrap gold including old broken jewellery from my late Grandmas and my mum’s wedding ring to my dad (now remarried/attached) and I had one made from that. The remainder of the gold paid for the making so it cost me nothing more than a jewellery box clear out. Plus of course I will always have something of my late grandmothers and my parents marriage with me.

We initially were looking at under £100 each. Then he found out my engagement ring had a matching band... £599! He also found one for himself for the same price. The jewellers are doing a deal for us, but still a lot more than I imagined. We’re cost cutting within the wedding to be able to spend more where it matters most to us x

Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham depending where you live, so many options and price ranges you can spend a day browsing and getting the right one. This is one of things from the wedding you will see every day of your life so worth looking around.

My new son-in-law contacted Serendipity Diamonds. They talked about what he wanted for the engagement ring, perfect for daughter. They went back to serendipity for both their wedding bands. All 3 rings look really good.

Beaverbrooks do 0% finance so I ended up spending more than I initially planned but I have the ring I really wanted. Beaverbrooks are great too as they will clean and check all the claws free of charge when ever you like and many times as you like...

Please bare with my very long comment 🙂

I work at H Samuel and our prices start from £70 up to £800, depending on the metal and if there’s diamonds in it.
We do 0% interest credit if it’s a little more than you wanted to spend (paid back over 3,6,9,12,24,36 months depending on the price).

We also have a wider range that we can design for you - these are from Birmingham Jewellery Quarter and also another specialist of jewellery design.
If you ask nicely, most of us can even do a deal if you buy both 🙂

But for me and my partner, i got Perfect Fit rings - engagement ring and wedding band together. This coat around £900
And for my partner - as his job is very hands on, we’re getting him a titanium ring. These are pretty cheap and the ones we’ve looked at are about £50.

That is something else you need to remember when buying wedding bands - yellow/white/rose gold are soft metals. Gold itself is soft. We try to keep people on 9ct gold, go up to 18ct and the rings are much softer and can dent/bend much more easier.
Silver is pretty tough but again can damage easily.
White gold needs to be rhodium coated every 12-18 months. (We charge £39.50)
For men (or women) that work a lot with their hands we suggest titanium, cobalt, palladium or platinum.

Had ours made locally to compliment my unusual shape engagement ring. So a personal design and much cheaper. Also sold other gold things for good price towards. Also had masses of unusual men’s rings. Check the reviews of the company first tho. Good luck 😉

Beautiful rings reasonable prices. We paid £1000 for both rings bit could easily have gone cheaper 😊

Two become one wedding jewellery if you are in the Manchester area. They design and make exactly what you want and are very reasonably priced. Cost us about £600 for our wedding rings and my husband has a unique one of a kind ring.

My fiance got both my engagement ring and wedding band on Etsy from a company called Brilani; beautiful, hand made, reasonably priced, and they've been a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They're based in Israel but ship all over the world :)
