Find your perfect venue

We set a budget and wrote a "rough" guest list, to get an idea of numbers. Then we went and found our perfect venue that could accomodate our needs.

I got engaged this Feb and our wedding is booked for April next year. I didn't know what I would get for my money so we looked at venues first and what they offered and we worked out if it was what we wanted if we could afford it. Once the venue was picked everything else was easy to plan xx

Registrar first see what dates they can do. Registrar should be able to pencil in a date whilst you find a venue, they won't be able to book you in until you have decided on the venue. Agree with Anna Montana's post below we also are getting married within a 4 month window and so far found that we are getting bigger discounts from wedding room event dressers, hotels etc

I got engaged and married a year apart. You’ll be fine. Start with venue and registrar

Budget and venue. These go hand in hand. When you know where.. you'll get the feeling of what type of wedding you want xx

Rough Guestlist to figure out size of wedding and then figure out budget. It's best to get your venue as soon as possible and then give your notice and get your wedding licence.

Then go for people you need to book, photography, DJ, hair and makeup etc.

Good luck and congratulations :)
