We sent ours out 12months ahead... Still waiting on some rsvps but had 3 guests decline because they have booked holidays... so have found it made no difference..

We are not getting married until April 2020 but it’s a destination wedding in the Caribbean so we sent the save the dates out last month to give everyone lots of notice

I sent mine out 18 months ahead. Everyone who we would like to be there has plenty of notice, but we understand some will be unable to make it. Better to give too much notice than not enough!

We sent ours April 2017 for an August 2018 wedding. Only one family already had their holiday booked. Invites then went out this April.

Sending ours out now and we get married June 2019. Because it’s a busy time of the year we wanted people to know in advance.

Were getting married may 2019, we sent them out last christmas with our cards. Simply as we have relatives from scotland coming down and wanted to give them as much notice anyway. Then we will be sending the actual invites out christmas this year.
Plus saves on postage too xx

I’m getting Married in June 2019 and I sent my save the dates as soon as the Church and venue was booked (Nov 2017) with it being summer, wanted to make sure everyone who we wanted there could save the date. Thinking of sending invites by the end of this year xxxx

We're getting married July 2020 and save the dates were sent out a short while ago. Our wedding is in summer but also on a Wednesday so it's so people will know not to book their holidays over our wedding plus the fact a lot of people will need to book off work xx

I didn’t bother with save the dates and just sent my invitation out a year and half in advance. Quick easy and saved money time and energy.
