Hi! Just wondered if anyone could help me. We want to get married abroad next July so wanted to book the holiday now so we could set a date etc. However my partner has recently started a new job and the new holiday entitlement for next year doesn’t become available until 1st October. Would you just book the holiday abroad now and hope he can get the time off or leave it until October so he can definitely get the dates off work first? We wanted to book it well in advance so we could give family and friends as much notice! What do you normally do when booking a wedding abroad in advance with work?
I would definitely wait. I line manage a team and we only allow 2 people off at a time...if someone came to me and said they'd booked and paid for something and there were 2 others off i would have to say no (I'd feel awful but would have no choice) x
