We've changed our date to July and our venues menu is still roast dinners. They have said they can do anything we want but what would you have as a 3 course wedding breakfast in July? I think a roast will be too much so looking at something abit lighter and more seasonal. We have a bbq for the the evening.

Something like salmon or stuffed chicken breast with minted new potatoes and salad/veg would be lighter than a standard roast.

We had an August wedding and gave guests five choices for each course - but roast beef was one choice and many guests chose it.

A lot of people these days are having bbq style or afternoon tea rather than the traditional roast

I’m having an April wedding and having roast dinner. I don’t think it’s a seasonal meal, as long as it’s good!

We have given choices of... Sticky ribs, roast lamb and honey mustard chicken so plenty of choice for everyone, most have gone with the lamb or ribs (and we get married in July too) bbq for the evening 😍
