Hello lovely brides! We are thinking of having a history theme wedding but have hit an inspiration block as dont want it to be too ott. Any ideas on how we could incorporate this into our day? All ideas welcome eg centerpieces, entertainment, decoration etc. Thanks in advance for all your help xx
Wow! What an amazing idea! Maybe you could name your tables instead of having table numbers, key historical figures or dates? You could have a fact file about the person on the table too for people to have a look through together. Also, you could organise seating banquet-style, that automatically makes it feel like a tudor celebration! Good luck xx

You could have History themed table names like, Renaissance , romantic, accent Rome, Victorian, Elizabethan, Medieval, enlightenment, and so on?
I found a wedding dress in tudor style at the wedding show just. If you haven't got a dress yet you could do something similar. It was gorgeous x
How about pictures etc of the venue from years ago, maybe on the tables..,and history facts of that time..x
You could name your tables after famous couples from history and doctorate the centrepieces with things in keeping with the era they are from.
History is a bit broad I'd narrow it down a touch or each table could be a different part of history so everything is different x
U could do diff decades which is history.types of clothes,what went on in that yr.or family tree of who was born in that decade,year
Why not a history fancy dress reception like victoriana costumes kings queens things like that think it would be realy good for a reception
