Me and my h2b are getting married next April! We have found the perfect wedding venue however it doesn’t have an actual dance floor. Their is enough space to create one however I’m struggling with DIY ideas how to do this as I can’t justify paying ridiculous amounts for a LED dance floor. Have any of you got any ideas? Thank you :)

What is on the floor of the area currently? Is it nice enough to 'rope off' the area without doing anything to the floor?

The room is used to hold events such as gigs and party’s so the floor is perfect for the dance floor. I just wanted to do something to show that it’s the dance floor area rather than just having an empty space.

I wouldn't worry tbh, people will know it'd the dance floor, especially after the first dance. Our venue doesn't have a dance floor and we aren't doing anything to it, other weddings I've been to haven't either and everyone was dancing :) x

You can buy some LED strips off of eBay pretty cheap, just stick them round the edge.
Once everyone is dancing it won’t look like an empty space

Could you make up a Dance floor rules board and have it standing to one side x

We didn’t have a ‘dance floor’ and no one even noticed! I wouldn’t worry too much xx

You could use tape to mark the area out. You can buy decorative or sparkly tape really cheap online 😁

I would go with a white dancefloor with uplighting. There are wedding pages on fb who offer a reasonable service. Looks amazing in photos

If the tables/chairs are set around it or even stopping at where the dance floor begins it should be clear to the guests so don't worry about it :) I'd be careful about buying anything that you need to stick on the floor etc as your venue may not let you depending if it could be considered a hazard x
