How much are people paying for evening entertainment e.g. DJ's and or Bands?...

How much are people paying for evening entertainment e.g. DJ's and or Bands? I've seen a couple of people I like at a wedding show today but my h2b thinks they are expensive. TIA

I think our band was around £1700. We also had a photo booth on the go and a sweetie bar. To be blunt, your entertainment IS your wedding for everyone else. If the entertainment is rubbish then your whole day falls apart. People want to party, don’t choose that area of the day to watch your budget.

No lie, I'm making a Spotify playlist with the h2b that lasts the whole day and putting it on shuffle with speakers, portable to move between venues and everyone gets to listen to tunes without the cost. Not for everyone but deffo our style.

I can’t remember but I’m Pretty sure it was around £500 ish for the band and Dj. (They also played guitar at the ceremony)

I think prices are ridulicious tbh
Me and the hubby have 2 options.
Make a playlist and Connect the laptop to speakers. Or his friend is going to do it for free.
Don't spend out so much on something you can do yourself.

£350 for the DJ and lighting I think it was. Was fantastic! Bands seemed way too much to us, and a DJ was better for what we wanted

We paid £850 for a solo artist for the day! He was worth every penny! He learnt 3 songs of our choice, performed all our ceremony songs live, live drinks reception, supplied music during our meal and another live set later followed by DJ set. He provided all lighting and also played the piano and guitar! He was absolutely fab! Xxx

Looking through this ours is pretty steep! 😆 but for what we are getting it’s so bloody worth it. They are 2440 but are an eight piece band - horns section included and sound so fab I might be looking forward to them more atm 🤣
They are working over five hours though, and eight of them playing. We have budgeted on everything else to make sure we have a bloody good evening! I can’t wait!!

We are only have a DJ which I’d included with out venue. But I have seen them for about £150-£170 . Found a photo booth company for around £250. We are doing our own sweet chart. It be a sweet table. Buying the jars then off to Markos for the sweets. Costing us around £50. So saving a good £100-200

We are getting married in Scotland with a mostly Scottish family and friends but some have never been to Scotland. We are wanting to get everyone involved and enjoying themselves so went for a Ceilidh band I know who also do lights and a Dj. Costing £1250 but that is also travel and accommodation added in for a 3 piece band. I do find it expensive but everywhere else I'm happily cutting back on before I started looking at entertainment, the day is for us to get married but we also want to enjoy ourselves for what will be a big part of the day time wise. I have been to events where entertainment hasn't been great and your mostly left a little bored after food when your not a host, from personal experiences. But it is your wedding day, you could do cheap entertainment with a quiz or board games rather than music :) look a different ideas and choose what you think is best that goes in your budget, if you really want something can you then cut back on other parts?

There is a guy local to me in Buckinghamshire and he is fantastic! Dan Blaze - £700 for an all inclusive package for all day and night 12 finish - he will even entertain the kids during speeches and works hard to ensure you have a fantastic party!
