Do you think having a second photographer is worth it? A lot of photography companies seem to supply 2 photographers as standard, while some charge extra for a second. We are looking at a wedding of around 100 guests and don't want our photographer to be rushed or stressed, or miss anything, but is it worth the extra cost?

Definitely, we had one with me getting ready and one with hubby, they got different shots during the service and reception and worked together to get the group shots, I dunno how one photographer could have done it all tbh

We chose two because of the photos we want and the price for the package was not to be missed

Ours is costing £750 for the whole day, 2 photographers, one 4x6 of each photo, a disc with each photo taken on and an album made up. Im definitely happy spending for the second, I don’t want to miss a thing and whilst your guests will get lots of pics - theres no denying its just not the same x

One can be with each of you getting ready and then later, whilst one is doing the formal posed pictures, the other can get the more relaxed, informal pictures of people enjoying themselves. Definitely worth it.

We had two, which was standard for the photographers we went with. Was a big factor in us choosing them and I’d definitely recommend it! Great to have more than one perspective on the day

I say two so they can get different views of the most important parts!!!! Also means (for me) we have someone at mine while I get ready and other photographer with groom welcoming guests.

I’m glad we’ve only got one...hate having my photo taken so really not gonna enjoy have two around..and the thought of someone photographing me getting ready would be my idea of a nightmare!!! ( I was offered this by my photographer)

It depends on how much coverage you want. 2 photographers can cover both bride(s)/groom(s) getting ready, more of the ceremony (one focussed on couple, the other guest reactions).... You get the drift. While one photographer might not necessarily get stressed (I go into "business mode" as I call it), it is an incredibly tiring day staying focussed for so long. Most photographers I know do charge extra for a second photographer, but keep in mind you're paying for 2 sets of expertise, 2 sets of overheads, 2 sets of wages.... And I think a lot of people forget this when it comes to artistry and cost. Personally I'm having one, but as I know mine personally and I'm very aware of keeping them relaxed and I'll be treating them as a guest.

Yes yes yes my photographer was amazing as was her second. Second photographer was part of the price, total paid was £1100 for both all day, engagement shoot, usb with nearly 700 photos obviously with editting. Obviously you have a budget but it’s the one thing I’d say I’m glad I didn’t scrimp on xxx

I'm having 2photographers for my wedding. 1 for myself and 1 for my partner. Makes sense and it's only costing 900 for the full day xx

We had two for our wedding in december just gone and it was worth it. We had one at the brides house photographing preparations and one at the groom's house. So we got to see pictures of us both getting ready which was nice. Also on the day alot more pictures were captured and while we had some formal pictures the other photographer got some natural shots of guests. Also in church for our ceremony while one photographer focused on me and my partner the other one could get ones of our guests and our children playing etc. The photos meant alot to us so it was important for us to have them both there to get all them shots, having them both did make a big difference. They were actually husband and wife and worked really well as a team...lovely couple x

I think two is a fab idea as you'll have getting ready pictures of you and your bridesmaids and h2b and his bestmen. We've booked two photographers xx

It’s worth having 2, I wish I did! You can’t have too many pics and each photographer style is different too, so one night capture something the other may miss as been busy photographing something else. Congrats and good luck. xx
