Depending on where you are based there is a great charity in exeter called la boutique. All dresses are under £500 and all money raised goes towards organising weddings for terminally ill couples
Try jjshouse they have hundreds of dresses and are very reasonably priced. They do bridesmaids dresses too!

I bought a used dress, its been worn once for a photoshoot. its a £1500 dress and cost me £30 :-)
Just realised this is my question haha! Thanks for all the suggestions ladies!
It depends on what your budget is! If you want traditional then you could look at outlet stores or bankrupt stocks! Alternatively department stores will have sales which you can get really amazing bargains
My dress cost £145:00, reduced from £550 in Debenhams. It was untraditional- silver grey lace fishtail evening dress! I love it still & the beauty for me is that I can wear it again- if I wanted too for another occasion
Good luck with your search
Try secondhand? You can get a bargain from sites selling preowned. I'm trying to sell my unworn unaltered dress on one.
Have a look on Etsy, you’d be amazed

I'm struggling to find knee length budget dresses in the shape that suits me. I'm hoping I'll be able to get.one made for less.than the bridal shops want to charge 🙏
How do you put a post up? X
I brought my dress off eBay never been worn and still with tags for £350.
Totally depends on what you like and what you want. I wouldn’t worry about how much it costs (as in, there shouldn’t be a minimum you’d pay) as long as you like it. Go to some sample sales for some bargains. Also Oxfam have anwedding shop in London I think so may get a cheap dress there if you’re close by.
