Hi lovely Brides to be! Is anyone doing DYI Photobooth station? Just wanted some tips on whether to have an instax camera or just selfie sticks with an app for guests to upload photos. Any tips appreciated. Thank you! X

I would use the selfie sticks and loads of photo booth props. I've been to a weeding where they had an instax camera and they got two photos from the whole night.

We had a diy photo booth.... borrowed and bought fancy dress and probs. Used an old frame. People used there own phones and camera and uploaded them on the wedpics app. X

I did selfie sticks but they weren't used. Props just grabbed, put on and then usual selfies taken

I was thinking of setting up our old iPad as you don’t need to log in to take photos.

I looked into it, to have an instant printer costs around £200, once you add ink and paper. So expensive!

I’ve been thinking this but the camera route was too expensive! So I’ve gone selfie station with sticks (one with a tripod and remote) and accessories (fish eye lense & selfie light...any other ideas??) and a message board for people to selfie with. Not sure about app yet but I am also hoping to create a snapchat geofilter but that depends on cost.

We bought an instax camera and ended up returning it as the quality of the pictutes was so poor! We hired a photobooth which was fab but if you want a diy one I would defo just go with props and a sign for guests to use their own phones and use a hashtag for your wedding if they post them online so you can see them. Good luck!

eBay do great backdrops and you can buy the stand separately. They aren’t too expensive either.

We have been looking at at the hp mini printers. They can be connected to devices through Bluetooth. And then it prints pictures with a sticky back. And we will have a book.

We’re just getting a selfie stick and asking people to upload to an event page we’re setting up on Facebook so everyone can access them.
