So I'm crazy about a stars theme wedding as they mean a lot to me and my partner. However my h2bs children have decided they only like a teal and yellow theme they've seem online. Im enjoying them being involved but it don't think it's going to match.

Also, it's your wedding, not to be harsh but you've got to do whats right for you and your h2b. Incorporate something for them in their chosen colours but I wouldn't make it your entire theme x

I’m not sure why they get any say in the colour scheme 🙄

It's nice to let them have input but maybe in some other area?I wouldn't let my son pick my colour scheme

So I think you might be able to do both with a summer wedding. Just mix in another couple of colours. It's a very pretty combo but at the end of the day, it's your wedding so it's important to have what means the most to you both x

It's your and your partners wedding... like the others have said it's nice they have had a input but ultimately it's you and partners say. I think teak could work with the stars them but not yellow... xx

White flowers, teal and yellow star confetti for tables (could make your own), teal and yellow hanging stars as decoration or wrapped around pillars/used as bunting.

My h2b doesn’t get an input in the wedding never mind the kids 😂

It's your wedding so you decide. You can listen to them and think about their ideas, but you have the final say. Xx

I know it's not actually yellow but how about teal and gold?

Teal and gold would be a good compromise

It's your wedding, not theirs. Do what you want to do. Be selfish ❤

How old are the children that they are picking colours. If they are little then I can understand you wanting their input but if they are adults then they could be being awkward as they not a usual colour combination.

I’d tell your H2B children that it is your wedding and that only you and your fiancé will be choosing the theme/colour scheme. When they get married they can do/have what ever colours they want. If they start dictating things now what else will they dictate further down the line?

Your wedding bot theirs
Explain that you want a theme but the colours don't go but ask them for other ideas you can use

I don't understand why them being involved means you have to go along with their suggestions. It's your wedding it doesn't matter what they like it's what you like that's important. Maybe incorporate some of the items from the theme they've seen but in the colours you want. It's your special day you have to be able to look back and know that you loved every aspect of your wedding and not look at pics and think I wish I'd done what I wanted. X

Stick with your stars concept as Beautiful , just add teal as similar to twilight skies , a wee nod in their direction .... But overall it's your day so your choice xx

Dark teal and gold could work... night sky and a warm sparkly stars.
What colours were you thinking??

Well it's your wedding so the colour scheme isn't really their choice

Teal and Gold sound amazing though! Have a look at the false-colour imagery of stars and nebula on the NASA website for some more inspiration!
