Hi all - I've been looking for a wedding dress for the past few months....

Hi all - I've been looking for a wedding dress for the past few months. Instead of being a fun thing I've found the whole thing really stressful as I feel a lot of pressure as the dress is such a huge focus of the day. I've now narrowed my search down to 2 dresses but have slight issues with both. The first is a lovely cut and neckline but I'm concerned that the material looks a bit cheap (it has a mesh like overlay). The second dress I loved the moment I put it on and it's so me but it has an illusion neckline and elbow length sleeves and I'm worried that over the course of the day this will ruck up and look unsightly. My confusion isn't helped by the fact that the first dress fits perfectly and the second is slightly too small on the waist and slightly too big on the top so I can't get a good idea of how it would fit in reality! Am I overthinking this and do I just need to take a leap of faith? Has anyone else had an illusion neckline/sleeves and did you experience any wardrobe issues during the day or on your photos? Any help would be much appreciated as I'm so anxious about this that I am now losing sleep, particularly as I have to order the dress soon! Thank you in advance.

Go with what feels comfortable as you will be wearing it all day. If you are still looking and aren't fussed with designer labels, there are a couple of bridal warehouses which are always willing to help and have hundreds of dresses to choose from. You can spend the day with your girlies and go and have some fun trying on different dresses. I had a similar problem with sleeves being an issue as well as choosing something that fits all of me as I'm quite busty but I managed to find a lovely dress eventually! You don't even have to buy from the warehouse, it will just give you a good selection to choose from. Don't be afraid to try something that you wouldn't go for either, I don't like sparkles however my dress has a lot of sparkle because it looks amazing on, it's comfortable and light wearing as well. If it's too much stress with your girlies, just take one friend and try on as many as you can until you find the one. Don't settle for something that you aren't happy with, you will know when you've found the one. Good luck with it all x
