I think that fresh flowers are very expensive. We are having artificial for everything except the bouquets (as I love fresh flowers). It has become quite popular to have artificial flowers now ... probably because the quality is so good and it is much cheaper. Also you can make your own bouquets and arrangements if you use artificial and it won't be a last minute rush.

if i were getting married in the UK i would be getting fake as I wouldn't be able to afford fresh, plus i suffer with hay-fever so i would't want a runny nose and puffy eyes on my wedding day

Our flowers are real because I just wanted to be different and I also got a really good price on them, but my sister-in-law had artificial ones that my mam made and they were fab. Each to their own.

I'm wanting to have fresh flowers for the full day but have an artificial bouquet and boutonniere to match my bouquet and husband's boutonniere. That way we can keep them forever.

Mine are artificial. Can keep them forever and they look amazing. My sister in law had artificial and I was her MOH and I kept my bouquet from her wedding and still have it. That's why I decided to have artificial.

I'm going for silk flowers for a number of reason, I have terrible hayfever, I want to do as much as I can on a tighter budget, I like the fact that my bridesmaids can keep their flowers and also my wedding colour is a blue/turquoise colour and finding real flowers in that colour can be difficult! I met my florist at a wedding fayre and when me and my mum were looking at some of her displays we honestly thought some of the silk ones were real! Its difficult to tell them apart these days. It all boils down to personal preference tho.

All my flowers are artificial. I bought the flowers from a website called permabloom. I paid £73 and I've got a enough flowers to make my bouquet, the bridesmaids and enough to use in the centrepieces! O was sceptical of artificial flowers at first but the quality on the ones I bought are amazing! I am so so happy with them x

I had a mix of artificial roses and homemade paper flowers for my bouquet. Its been in my bookcase for a couple of years and i love it. all rest of the flowers were made of the same and they looked fab.

We had artificial flowers. Me, my husband, my dad, best man and a bridesmaid all suffer from hay fever but also we had a DIY wedding so I made them all myself and it meant everyone could keep their bouquets and buttonholes. My bouquet is the centrepiece on our dining room table and is a constant reminder of our amazing day. Depending what type of flower you chose you often can't even tell. Plus they don't wilt as the day goes on Xx

My sister isn’t good with pollen, makes her face swell and eyes all puffy and stream. I had a word with my florist who used certain flowers which aren’t as strong and she was fine

I used foam flowers, as they look more realistic than silk. I added fresh freesias and gypsophilia and made them up on the morning of the wedding.

I’m having artificial flowers as I’m allergic too. I put red tulips on my invites etc so stuck with the theme and bought latex ones for my bouquets and centre pieces. I ordered 4 lots of 20 of them off Amazon and hand tied them myself. They cost me £12 per bouquet.

Ours are all artificial, mainly because they're cheaper and can be kept after but also because several people including my fiance and mum have hay fever. I'm not fussed about flowers so it doesn't worry me plus good fake ones look pretty real anyway :)

I have also been considering fake. However some fake flowers or hand made bouquets can be just as expensive as fresh flowers! I have been quoted £60 for fresh and have seen £90 fake bouquets! It’s all about looking around.

I've gone with foam artificial flowers as they are way cheaper than real. Plus they won't die and are a nice keepsake! I made my own bouquet and a smaller version for my MoH.

I bought artificial silk flowers from theartificialflowershop.co.uk it cost me just over £100 and I have enough flowers and equipment to make two bride bouquets (so I can throw one and keep the other) two bridesmaid bouquets, a centrepiece and enough to decorate two flower girl baskets and a memorial table. I knew fresh would be sooo expensive and I wouldn’t be able to get the flowers I wanted as they wouldn’t be in season. There are other things in the wedding that I would not compromise on .. the silk flowers are beautiful and didn’t need to be expensive to be so ️️Best of luck x
