We were looking at Italy when we got married but changed in the end. Ensure that you know all if the requirements for documentation and if they need any extra stamps

We are getting married in Italy, June 18... we’ve gone for Malcesine castle in Lake Garda. We went with the lovely ladies from Lake Garda Weddings, they were so much cheaper than any travel agents and offer a much more personalised service!

We got married in Sorrento in May, and I would definitely recommend it! We used Don Pedro Wedding Organizers to arrange almost everything, and they were fantastic. I got lots of ideas from searching wedding forums, and also TripAdvisor for popular wedding destinations abroad. I agree, avoid booking the wedding through a travel agent if possible, you get a much more personal service with a local planner.

We have also just decided on Italy (Rome more specifically). We have gone with a planner yo helpbus with the documents and booking thr ceremony however we have found its far cheaper to go direct with other suppliers ourselves like our photographer, we got an amazing deal and he is actually from england so no worries over language barrier either x good luck ! Also following for tips as well x i put a really aimilar post up and got some fab advice and tips as well but im not sure how easy you could find this xx

We found a venue through our caterer, in Siena. It's called Villa Catignano, a beautiful 17th century building with 75 beds and a great price! Our caterer is called Terra E Gusto. A small, family run business with lovely food, completely vegan menu for us but they normally do omni menus. They are helping with all the planning as well! Good luck!
