Has anyone had Colin the Caterpillar cakes for their wedding cake(s)? If so, how much did it feed and how did you present it? Thank you x
Don't bother, we got him and he turned into a butterfly just before cake cutting. Waste of money he smashed a window while trying to fly away.
I looked into the actual wedding ones you get from marks and spencer, they were £50 each and each cake served 40 people x we arent doing the big wedding anymore but i would have went for these as i loved the idea ! X
I’ve been to many weddings with some crazy themes but I cant believe that using caterpillar cakes is a thing. Nothing wrong with a supermarket cake if you’re not feeding many but can’t see how caterpillar cakes would be cost effective, it’s just a Swiss roll.
Colin and his bride
I've been to many weddings where the bride and groom have spent excess of £200 plus on a cake for the bride and groom to for the traditional cutting the first slice and then everyone forgets about the cake and it doesn't get eat, such a waste of money. If you want to do Colin the caterpillar it's your wedding you go for it, it's something different and very quirky xx
I love the idea of this, the only reason we aren't is because me mum is desperate to make our cake. Go for it! Think it's fabulous xx
Love this idea - M & S bride & groom caterpillar £100 serves 80 - sounds good xx
They are much larger than the normal cakes and should each serve 40 people.
Tom Kilby pleaseeeeeeee
Kerry Thomas Best thing EVER!!!!
Hahahah I genuinely mentioned this to my H2B cause who doesn’t like caterpillar cake???
Then I realised its because it’s chocolate and not traditional horrible fruit cake 🙈 so ours will be chocolate with strawberries/raspberries 😍
Our friends did this! Worked great (: had one per table and that was more than enough! X
Gez 😃
I had emoji cakes and 2 big chocolate ones. Shop bought.. it all gets eaten anyway! Xx
