We have booked our wedding for July 2020 and paid our deposit. We wanted to buy wedding insurance but John Lewis and Debenhams won’t let you purchase a policy until a maximum of two years before, meaning we’ll have to wait until July 2018. Has anyone else had this problem, or are there other providers out there that are reputable that you can purchase more than two years in advance of your wedding?

Hi I am getting married August 2018 but I haven't arranged wedding insurance yet :)

I went with John Lewis. Had to wait three months to get it though after booking the venue. Just made sure I booked it as soon as I could. Not sure if any let you book more than two years in advance.

We booked our venue a few days over 2 years in advance so had to wait a few days then bought it at the earliest opportunity. Unfortunately I haven’t come across any companies that would do it earlier.

I'm in same situation (May 2020), annoying to wait - Just having to hope and wait until 2 years before :( (only deposit for venue and caterer paid)

We have paid the deposit for our venue too for February 2020 but having to wait until February 2018 to get insurance. Just make sure you diarise it so you can get it as soon as possible.
