I am getting married 2020 too and haven't started looking yet. I will probably leave it until late next year or early 2019 - I don't want to get it too early and end up changing my mind x

I’m getting married June 2020 and went dress shopping earlier this month, that was WAY too early and would recommend a year before the wedding.
I found a dress I loved as well but felt it was too early to get it and my mind might change by then. :)

Hi look as soon as you like but don't buy too soon as new styles come out all the time :)

As soon as you want it's soon much fun I've just bought mine an been engaged for a month

I would suggest the year before that way you will be less likely to change your mind as styles change.

They recommend 12 months before x

I'd say start 18 months before. Some people find what they are looking for straight away, it took me a lot of visits to a lot of shops. Some designers take 9 months to deliver, and you want 3 months for alterations, so look to be ordering a year before your date.

About 12-18months before is ideal. Tho I got mine 9 months before. Xxx

Usually 6-12months! I'm going to look or mine in April which would be 12months before just incase i need alterations as sometimes they can take a while

I've tried on a few and really liked 3. Thing is I can't afford to get it yet plus there's storing it. Get married 2020 as well.

Year before I'm getting married 2020. So I'm going to go the year before. X

I had a look in February for styles and found a dress I would have been very happy with but as I'm a June 2020 bride I didn't buy it.

I'm going to go out again 18 months before and want to have got it before the end of 2019

Whenever you want to!
I found mine as soon as we got engaged.
I have had it upstairs in our baby’s room for a year now. I’ve recently had it on for fear of going off it.
But I haven’t.
It’s totally my dress! I love it!

Ps no wedding date set other than a rough idea of 2019. We got engaged 2 years ago 😂

I'm getting married early 2021, I was looking online and found a Audrey Hepburn style ballgown I loved but it's not sold anywhere (it's a cheapo from China that's not going to turn up like it says!), so my mum is making it. Once I get down to my goal weight she is going to make a mock-up 3 years ahead of time, but not make the real thing until 12 months before as I am going dress shopping 2019.
